Why do we all need deeper Biblical teaching, even Christians.
a) Acts 17 vs 10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. vs 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
b) 2 Timothy 4 vs 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
vs 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; vs 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth.
c) 1 Timothy 4 vs 1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, vs 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy.
d) Romans 16 vs 17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. vs 18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. "false teachers cause divisions drawing people away from sound Biblical truth"
e) Rev 22 vs 18 Jesus said. For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; vs 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
This is the question satan doesn't want any Christian to ask. Who has a part in the book of Life and the Holy City ? = Christians. Who can take away our part ? Rev 22 vs 19. = God.
We live at a time prophesied in the Bible where all of God's warnings to Christians have become unmentionable. Those who believe the word of God concerning His warnings to the disciples of Christ, are today very few and far between. Those who simply believe are often considered by other Christians, as troublesome and condemning. Now it is true there are some who believe God's warning, but then follow extremism, and live with a condemning attitude towards other Christians who fall short of their standards. This is clearly Biblically wrong. "Jesus said that He did not come into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world could be saved through Him". So Jesus didn't come to condemn, so it goes without saying, that Jesus true disciples ought not to condemn either. God's warnings to Jesus disciples are not to condemn but to gravely warn.
God's warnings develop in the believer a Holy fear of God, this the Bible says is a good thing. Some Christians who don't want to ever hear God's warnings, have said things like. Well the Bible teaches about receiving eternal life through faith in Jesus, and salvation being a gift that can not be earn 't, that is received by the person, by their faith and their faith alone. And therefore it must be impossible for the believer to ever loose it.
The argument is this. All God's warnings in the Bible that seem to be to Christians can not actually be to Christians otherwise the Bible contradicts it's self.
Those who don't believe in God's warnings to Christians, go on to say, are you saying that there are contradictions in the Holy Bible ?
Conclusion.
If anyone was to ignore both sides of the argument, and just simply and prayerfully read the Bible through, over the years they will come to find out as I have done, along with millions of people before us in every generation. "There are no contradictions in the Bible as it is the Word of God"
But God's warnings to us Christians just jump up at us out the page. Jesus Himself speaking the Holy Words of His Heavenly Father said to His very own disciples. "do not fear man who after killing the body can do no more, but fear Him (God) who after killing the body, has power to throw you into hell, I tell you fear Him".
You see the Bible contains everything for all of our life here on earth. When we receive Jesus as saviour, then we have all the wonderful promises of God, concerning our sins washed away by Jesus sinless blood, shed for us all on the Cross.
Forgiven in Jesus we shout. Confidently. And so we should. Praise Jesus.
Yes Father God wants us to know love Jesus as our Lord God and risen saviour, and for us to know that we are eternally safe in Him.
Then our Lord God wants us to walk with Jesus, be led by the Holy Spirit, keep in step, walk as Jesus walked, seeking day by day, Father God's Will in our lives. Prayfully reaching out to the poor lost people, who are still on the wide road to hell. Now this is fantastic. Life is Jesus. Dead to sin alive in Christ. Blessings beyond measure in Christ. But also at times we Christians experience mega spiritual attack, satanic attack, temptation from satan's kingdom of darkness, temptation from our old sinful flesh, temptation from our old life of sin. Weakness of the sinful flesh.
AHHH here we are, now our Lord God reminds us Christians of all His warnings concerning sinful practices and His Will for us to live in Jesus unto a Holy life, for Jesus glory, reminding us that we overcome through the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony. AHHH so that's what all God's warnings are for. Yes they are there to help us choose the right side in the heat of battle.
Its not that there are any contradictions in the Bible, if you see contradictions then you are not seeing the Holy Scriptures as God wants you too. His Holy Scriptures are to deal with every situation that you or I may face. They keep us in the faith once handed down to us through Jesus apostles. They keep us and continually sper us on unto Holy Christ centered living.
Yes Father God wants us to rejoice that we Christians are saved and that our names are written in Heaven. Go tell the world the Gospel of Salvation. "But don't mock God in the way that we are living".
These few notes are not intended to be a complete study concerning God's warnings to Christians or not to Christians. My intention is to get you
to examine the Biblical evidence for both points of view. And for you to prayerfully see for yourself what opinion really agrees with God's Word.
Go back and prayfully read/study Revelation 22 vs 19. Look it up word by word in the original Greek language, understand its meaning.
KJV. Proverbs 29 vs 18 "Where there is no vision, the people perish". We love you in Jesus name regardless of what you believe, we hope that you enjoy this website. This site exists due to the Lord Jesus Christ healing and saving Stan Earle back in April 1990. All to almighty God's Glory. |
