15) In Salvation as a gift from God by His Grace. Ephesians 2 vs 8-10. We receive forgiveness of sin through our faith in Jesus Christ who paid for all our sins by His sacrificial death. Romans 1 vs 16-17. Romans 3 vs 20-24. Romans 10 vs 4-13. Romans 5 vs 11.
Our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ had said in John 3 vs 1-7. “Unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God” . Vs 7, “You must be born again”. New life in Christ is essential.We must have become a new creation. Gal 6 vs 15. If anyone is in Christ he is
a new creation. 2 Cor 5 vs 17. If a person is a Christian, they will have a tangible biblical testimony of when and how they were saved.
1 John 5 vs 10.1 Peter 1 vs 23. John the Baptist preached repentance as in Matt 3 vs 1-2. (Turn around from our own will and turn to God’s Will).

A) The Lord Jesus preached repentance. Matt 4 vs 17. Those sent by Jesus, the apostles preached repentance.
Acts 17 vs 30 says. God now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him (Jesus) from the dead.
We preach repent and believe in Jesus the Christ, live for Jesus. Salvation is not by human works it is the gift of God. Justification is by faith alone. Nobody can come to Christ unless the Father draws them and grants repentance. John 6 vs 44-45. Learning and hearing are different things. Mankind’s God given free will, allows him to harden his heart to God’s word, and to God’s love. People who have learned about Christ may not have really heard, and therefore, in unrepentant sin, they resist God’s Will, and reject Jesus as Lord. The righteous will live by faith in Christ. Faith leads to obedience.

B) Predestination. The all knowing God knew before any man or woman was created, who would except Him and who would reject Him. The key to a believers predestination, its found in Romans 8 vs 29-30. “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son (Jesus), that He (Jesus) might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called: whom He called, these He also justified: and whom He justified, these He also glorified”.
This is not saying that we existed before conception in our mothers womb. It is teaching us that Father God foreknew who would believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, repent and be saved. God knows the end from the beginning. Rev 3 vs 5. There are many warnings to Christians within the New Covenant, concerning unrepentant
unconfessed sinfulness. What Christians say and how we live is important, its the evidence of our faith in Christ and His Word, or lack of it. The reason for all the comforting Scriptures and all the fear inspiring warnings to Christians, its to keep us in Christ. All the fear inspiring warning in the bible are to be taken seriously.
