God's Watchman. Ezekiel 33 link. If you have a subject for this page please email me above.
Much can be learnt by the Church today by understanding how our Lord spoke to Ezekiel about warning Israel.

Its vital to remember that before the return of Jesus, Biblical Christianity prophecies apostasy meaning to fall away, to forsake truth.
(2 Thessalonians 2 vs 1-17) Apostasy is the opposite of revival. As Christians through complacency and a lack of love for God's Word, fall away from sound doctrine one verse at a time. Its a time for us all to prayerfully study our Bibles like never before. What does God's Word actually say about all the hot issues. Where is each denomination correct and where can they be wrong. Have you searched your Bible and prayerfully believed what you have read, or are you dangerously going with the flow of the modern ecumenical churches.
The rapture and the return of Jesus will be soon. Pray to be found waiting. We don't want to personally fulfil the prophecies of apostasy.

We Christians are to pray for revival in the Church, and our prayers are answered as some Christian return to Jesus and sound doctrine, but if we are as close to the rapture of the Church and Jesus return as we think, then worldwide revival in the Church wont happen. What will be seen is an erosion of Biblical truth, an anything goes mentality. Give me Jesus but don't give me Jesus teachings through His first century apostles. People will be thinking, Jesus brings everybody together, Bible doctrine divides people, let focus on Jesus and His miracles. I say, let us not be deceived, a rejection of Jesus teachings through His first century apostles, is in fact a rejection of Him. Jesus said "If you love me then you will obey my word". And in John 8 vs 31-32. 31 the Holy Scriptures say. "Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Some say and many think, look at the miracles that are happening through this ministry or that ministry, surely the miracles must prove
that the ministry leaders are Biblically sound, but Galatians 3 shows us that God's miracles are received by faith and not by works.
This means that even ungodly leaders could have a signs and wonders ministry through their faith in the miracle working power of Jesus.

I know a man who went with his grandfather to a faith healer who was charging money to pray, his grandfather had something badly wrong with his neck. The grandfather paid his money, and both he and his grandson were intrigued to hear the faith healer pray for healing in Jesus name. The grandfather was healed and asked for more information about Jesus. They were shown to read the Holy Bible.
Through all this they both ended up repenting and giving up their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus set them free from their dead religion and I can testify that my friend Narinda is still walking with Jesus today. Now my point is. The man shouldn't have been charging, the man wasn't a disciple of Jesus, the man was an extortioner, but due to his faith in the miracle working power of Jesus my friends grandfather was healed in Jesus name.

Now some think that all the signs and wonders today are lying signs and wonders. Well I think some me may be, but remember Biblically, satan never raised the dead, healed cripples, opened blind eyes, made the deaf hear, healed a withered limb, healed broken bones, or healed any diseases or illnesses. Jesus did.

We thank Jesus for His sinless blood shed for all our sins, and that we are saved by God's grace through faith in Him, but we need to realize that our Lord has severely warned His Church in Galatians 5 vs 16- 26. Gal 6 vs 1-10.) Its about our lifestyle and what we teach.

(New King James Version)

Galatians 5 vs 16- 26. Vs 16.
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery,[c] fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders,[d] drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. End of Scripture.

In the above verses, our Lord warns His Church through apostle Paul's letter concerning many things including heresies, meaning false teaching. It's only recently within the last 50 or so years that the sin of heresies has been removed from most modern Bible translations and it has been replaced by a word that describes what heresies cause. If you go back to the original Geek Holy Scriptures, there you will see God's warning concerning heresies. Many Christians over the last 40 years have had no idea that God's Word has warned us Christians not to practice heresies. (Vs 21 I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.)

It vital to understand that the practice of heresies / false teaching, causes a sect, or factions, within the Church of Bible believers. Meaning that people begin to break away from sound doctrine, and therefore practice heresies, drawing others into their sect causing factions. Remembering that these warnings came in the first century, so there are now many sects within the Churches fulfilling 2 Timothy 4 vs 3.

It's only recently within the last 50 or so years since the popularity of modern Bible translations that most protestant Churches have been working towards ecumenicalism with the RCC. Most protestant Church leaders over the last 20 to 30 years have stopped protesting against Rome's false teachings, and been focusing only on what can be agreed upon. Do you see, if the heresies warnings are gone from the Bible, then its easier to wrongly believe that even false Bible teachers are still going to heaven.

Once the modern Bible translators wrongly replaced the warnings of heresies, with a word describing the outcome of heresies, then the reader, or the Bible student, instead of being warned not to practice false teaching, they misunderstand and think that the warning is not to practice factions, in other words, they think that its against God, to break fellowship with certain Christians on any grounds. Some wrongly believed from this, that to break fellowship with the idolatrous Roman Catholic Church would be to cause factions and therefore to do so, would mean not inheriting the Kingdom of God.

But our Lord commands His Church in 1 Corinthians 5 vs 9 "I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.
12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”[d]

We can easily see from the above Scripture why ecumenicalism with the Roman Catholic Church goes totally against God's Word. Can you see, us Bible believers need to be praying for our Roman Catholic friends to repent from their idolatry and false teaching, and to come follow Jesus. Our Lord will lead them out of the Roman Catholic Church and He will use us who believe to invite them to our Churches.

Also the Bible is crystal clear from these above verses, that the Archbishop of Canterbury should be breaking communion with the lesbian and homosexual church. The Bible couldn't be clearer. "not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral". "not even to eat with such a person" Put away from yourselves the evil person, means to put them out of the Church. So simply put, the unrepentant who confesses themselves to be a Christian are to be put out of the Church. So God actually commands that the lesbian or homosexual clergy are to lose their jobs. Now its worth remembering that God still loves and cares for the sexual immoral person who claims to be a Christian, and this should be reflected in our consistent love and care for them. Our prayers are for them to repent and except God's Word and deliverance in Jesus name. Jesus set sinners free. Glory to God. Read 1 Corinthians 6 vs 9-11.

Considering how God's warnings concerning heresies have been taken out of the Bible, its no wonder that so many Christians throughout the world today, when they read God's warnings to His Church are unaware of there gravity. Most of us end up thinking, aaah what does it really matter if unscriptural things happen, as long a person believes in Jesus, aaah what does it matter if my Roman Catholic friend believes and practices and teaches so many false teachings, after all they believe in Jesus. Aaah what does it matter if a man covers his head when he prays or prophecies, after all he believes in Jesus, aaah what does it matter if a Christian woman leads or preaches to the whole church, after all she believes in Jesus. Aaah what does it matter if we watch a minister sprinkle water on a baby's head and tell the family the baby's received new life, and is born again. What does it matter if biblically, baptism is only for repentant believers, does it matter that this minister who has just sprinkled a baby has deceived the child and their family and perhaps the rest of his church, after all he does believe in Jesus.

Over the years I have often had discussions with priests and members of their congregations who promote infant baptism. I have asked them for scriptures to support their actions. The most common one is Acts 16 vs 31 "So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. End quote.

Respectfully people normally say. See, all his family was baptized, and in his family there must have been a baby.

A careful examination of these specific Scriptures reveals that there is no baby.
I have often been led by God's Spirit to ask them to read the very next verse, for them to realize that in fact his whole household had believed. Read verse 34 and see.

New King James version. 34
Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household".

New international version . 34 The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God— he and his whole family.

I remember asking a vicar friend of mine about 12 years ago about infant baptism, he took me to Acts 16 vs 31-33 to prove infant baptism. My friend didn't tell me of the next verse, verse 34, perhaps he had never read it.
I went home and looked up the verses that my friend had given me, and the Holy Spirit led me to read the next verse, verse 34.

People believe that by having there children baptized their children are now Christians. People believe that if they have been baptized as infants then they have always been Christians.

Now I have been by God's amazing grace, and by His power, evangelizing and preaching and testifying for nearly 18 years to every age group, I have learnt this.

Most people who have been Christened, care nothing for following Jesus. In fact they are no different than any of their worldly friends. But quite often amongst these unsaved people, I hear them say, "well I am a Christian". These are the people in particular that concern me the most. They know nothing of the new Spirit filled life, they are still in their sins, on the wide road to hell, but are convinced they are going to heaven.
WHY. Well its because their parents who meant well, told them that they were a Christian family, although dad never new Jesus, neither did mum, nor anyone in the family, as nobody was born again.

Why does the family think they are a Christian family ? Well its because some well meaning Vicar or Bishop had told them that
"God who has received you by baptism into his church".
So generations of people ignore the command of Jesus. You must be born again, John 3 vs 3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Why do they ignore Jesus command, well its because they think that they have always been Christians. Why, well because they were baptized as a baby.

Countless people are lost in hell due to the teaching of infant baptism that originated not from God's Word the Bible, but through the heretical Roman Catholic Church.

Our Lord has laid on me his heart for the lost, who perish through lack of knowledge. Jesus said in John 4 vs 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

Some Anglican church ministers admit that infant baptism is not taught in the Holy Scriptures.

Clearly infant baptism is not supported in Scripture, in a court of Law, there wouldn't be one scrap of Scriptural evidence to support infant baptism. Anyone in the Church of England or any other Church that baptizes babies, if you have come to realize this, then you aught to prayerfully take it up with your Bishop and Church leaders. If your in the Church of England then work together with others to get the Church of England to rectify article 27 and eliminate children from baptism until they become born again believers. The Church of England, like it or not, has a great deal of influence within other Church denominations, what the Church of England permits effects many.

Now we have established no direct Scriptural support for infant baptism, then to teach it, is false teaching, false teaching is heresy, not a nice word, but its not my word, its our Lord's.

The fact that it has been said "you will find many strong orthodox biblical Born again, baptised in the Spirit evangelical Christians who will allow parents to bring their children for infant baptism.
In the Light of God's Word, this only sadly proves how the heretical teachings of the Roman Catholic Church concerning infant baptism have continued to deceive the protestant churches of Jesus Christ.

Believing and teaching things with no Scriptural support is routed in the Roman Catholic Church, consider prayers to Mary, prayers to the saints in heaven, the worship of the bread in the mass, then there is purgatory, calling on Mary to help in times of trouble, devotion to Mary, giving ones life to Mary, what about the repetitive prayer said using rosary beads, calling the pope Holy Father, or the perpetual sacrifice of Jesus Christ in the Mass.
There is more, but I am sure this is enough to get to the point. Non of the above teaching are supported in the Holy Scriptures, but Catholics will say they believe them anyway. Infant baptism is amongst these unbiblical teachings, and they all ought to be seen as so.

This is why God is calling Christians out of the Roman Catholic Church and He is calling Christians to share God's truth with their Roman Catholic friends, to pray to get them saved and out of Rome in Bible believing Churches.

Hopefully, you aught not need me to highlight all of God's warnings in the Bible about the importance of keeping to sound doctrine, not going beyond his word, not adding, not taking away.

As soon as any correction is brought to a denomination, some will think, ahh, he hates those people, in my case this is not true, its because of the love of God, for people to know the truth, that I speak out. I love Roman Catholic people, some of my good friends are Roman Catholics and many of my friends are X Roman Catholics because they just started reading and believing the Bible.

Some say to teach believers baptism and not infant baptism is legalism. Good point to raise. But to become legalistic is to begin to trust in works to earn salvation, that would mean to fall from God's Grace. Thankfully we are all saved by God's grace through our faith in Jesus Christ, so legalism has no place in a Christians life. Its not legalistic to prayerfully encourage the upholding of God's Eternal Word, when looking at the Bible through the empty Cross of Jesus. Its the mocking of God that all us Christians always try and avoid.

On a personal note,   I did not make up my own mind about baptism, my mind was changed by our Lord Jesus by His Spirit taking me through His Scriptures. When I was first a Christian I was asked to be a godparent at my friends sons Christening, I accepted and stood in St Luke's and became part of the infant baptism service. Our Lord had showed me it was wrong through my relationship with Him, I remember our Lord's conviction before the event, I began to ask questions, but at the time I was only with some new Christians who had never prayerfully studied the subject. One of them said to me, Stan these are Vicars, they can't be wrong. With that I shrugged off God's conviction and went ahead with it. A few months latter or so,  Jesus took me through the study and then I realized.

The Church of England wrongly teaches that an infant becomes part of the body of Christ once he or she is sprinkled with water and prayed over. It is no wonder the Church of England on a whole has become so plagued  with liberal clergy. There are a lot of Bishops who support gay clergy, women Bishops and ecumenicalism with Rome. Could this be that somehow these men have slipped through the net, and were never born again. Could it be that because they had been baptized as infants, and later been confirmed that when they trained for the ministry, no-one actually tried to make sure that they were born again of the Spirit. Other Church ministers just took it for granted and believed, of course they are born again Christians because of their sprinkling and conformation.

In every generation of the Church of England's existence, the almighty has sent his servants to bring correction concerning infant baptism, some of that correction has come from the inside and some from other denominations. Instead of changing article 27, many theologians have tried to tie the old testament law of circumcision with the new testament teaching of full emersion baptism. There argument sounds convincing until you ask for any Scriptural support for there idea. Then it all falls flat. So don't be fooled by not asking enough questions concerning Scriptural support. Sadly the Church of England has still not changed article 27 concerning the inclusion of children.

Well the Church of England is certainly paying for it now.

My prayers are with every Church of England minister of God, who endeavors to uphold God's Word in a Church that is increasingly becoming more and more backslide. I believe that there are many sincere servants of God within the Church of England but infant baptism has been a wedge of deception in the door, as said before, any careful Bible study reveals that baptizing unbelievers has no Scriptural support, but once it had been excepted anyway, then it was only a matter of time before satan attacked the Holy Scriptures concerning head covering as in 1 Corinthians 11. Within the last 100 years Satan began to teach the Church that head covering was cultural and not important in today's Church. Then once this had been excepted, then it was only a matter of time before satan began teaching that it was only right for women to preach to the whole Church, even though this was forbidden in God's Holy Scriptures as, in 1 Timothy 2 vs 8-15, this is even connected with satan's deception in the garden of Eden, proving without a shadow of doubt, that this command was not cultural. Then once women's preaching/teaching to the whole Church was excepted, then it was only a matter of time before satan began teaching that its only right for women to become Bishop's, even though God's Holy Scriptures in 1 Timothy 3 vs 1-13, teach that this calling is to be for a man. Once women Bishop's have been fully excepted then satan would have caused many more Christians to no longer trust in the authority of the Bible. As one woman preacher said to me concerning 1 Timothy 2 vs 8-15, laughing she said, ahh we live in the 20th century now.

Today in England we have the liberals supporting homosexual clergy, and gay marriage, even though our Lord loves all mankind, He calls homosexuality an abomination. The Bible is no longer the final authority of what is right and wrong, and no longer is the Bible the only place to find out God's calling in a persons life. Today many people care more about their own opinions than they do for God's Word.

Prophesy fulfillment. Now I know that all this liberalism is bad, but its all prophesy fulfillment, so true Bible believers can find encouragement in numerous verses like 1 Timothy 4 vs 1 and 2 Timothy 3 vs 13 and 2 Timothy 4 vs 1-5. Vs 3 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful"

Concerning commentaries, they are never to be our basis for understanding the Holy Scripture, we are to understand difficult scriptures in the light of more easily understood Scriptures. Commentaries can be helpful but only if they uphold the plain teaching of the body of Scripture. You are likely to already know this, but you can find old and new commentaries that speak against God's Word in the Bible

Reaching the lost is my constant joy, this work of encouraging sound doctrine to ministers brings me much heartache. For me to remain silent would be disobedience to our Lord and Saviour. If Church denominations were to just go by the Holy Scriptures, they could work towards total agreement.

Back to the subject of baptism.
How many times does our Lord have to show us His order of things. Believe and be baptized.
1st example Mark 16 vs 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved;
2nd example Matthew 28 vs 19 Go therefore[c] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
(To become a disciple one needs to have first heard and believed).
3rd example Acts 2 vs 37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”  38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” 40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Then those who gladly[g] received his word were baptized;
Can you see God's clear order, and can you also see verse 41, only believers were baptized, those who gladly received his word.

In my experience in Jesus, our Lord by His Holy Spirit brings His teachings to us Christians always directly. Someone speaks God's Word to us and the Holy Spirit living in us Christians, testifies to us as our teacher, yes these things are true. 1 John 2 vs 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will[e] abide in Him".

I understand the above Scripture of 1 John 2 vs 27 in this sense. "Someone speaks God's Word to us and the Holy Spirit living in us Christians, testifies to us as our teacher, yes these things are true". Or if we are being mislead, the Holy Spirit will in His time correct us through the Holy Scriptures.

I have often grieved in my spirit in prayer to God, wanting to see the Church denominations agree with God's Word, to be of one mind as instructed in the Scriptures. To work towards unity in the faith as instructed in Ephesians 4 vs 1-16. I have seeked our Lord often in fear and trembling, crying out for answers. Why do the Scriptural differences exist between some Christian denominations ?

The answer that I received grieved my spirit even further. "Our Lord God told me, selfish ambitions, and pride".

Pray.
Lord have mercy on us all, we your Church repent from our own agenda, and not being willing to admit that we have been wrong. Lord teach us your Holy Word so that we can stand as one in you. One Spirit and one faith. In Jesus name we ask. Amen. Come Lord Jesus.

39 articles of faith of the Church of England.
To be fair, for a person to become a Church of England Minister, they are taught to believe the 39 articles of faith of the Church of England, and if they pass through their training to work serving within a church fellowship, they are soon very busy people, with a huge work load. Its no wonder that it can take many years for some to realize that one of their Church articles of faith was wrong and against the Holy Scriptures. Now it must be said that these articles of faith are mostly very good and they are nearly all worth believing, they came about after the Reformation when the Lord God freed this country from the Rule of the heretical Roman Catholic Church. Its worth remembering that the RCC hasn't repented of any of their unbiblical teaching. It's just that most of the protestant churches have grown more and more liberal, open minded, and less concerned with the warnings within God's Word concerning heresies. Back in the early days of the reformation when the Church of England was being set up, the Church of England bishops decided to keep infant baptism that they had learnt from the Roman Catholic Church. Human reasoning won the day, get people in the Church of England before they have a chance to make their own choice. This is very likely to have been the thought process leading to the inclusion of infant baptism within their 39 articles of faith. In every generation since then there have been minister inside and outside the Church of England that have known the truth about the error of article 27 concerning infants/children baptism. A few years ago there was a book published speaking about some Church of England bishops calling for reform, in the book they made it clear that these CE ministers wanted to return to the bibles instructions concerning believers full immersion baptism. I spoke at one time to an ex Church of England vicar, he told me how he used to believe in baptizing babies for the first 18 years of his ministry.

Article 11 in the Church of England's statements of faith takes the biblical stance that a person can only be saved by their faith in Jesus.
This statement in its self clearly reveals why an infant ought not to be baptized, as justification is by faith and not the sprinkling of water

XI. Of the Justification of Man.
We are accounted righteous before God, only for the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by Faith, and not for our own works or deservings. Wherefore, that we are justified by Faith only, is a most wholesome Doctrine, and very full of comfort, as more largely is expressed in the Homily of Justification.

Lets consider article 27 in the Church of England's statement of faith.
XXVII. Of Baptism.
Baptism is not only a sign of profession, and mark of difference, whereby Christian men are discerned from others that be not christened, but it is also a sign of Regeneration or new Birth, whereby, as by an instrument, they that receive Baptism rightly are grafted into the Church; the promises of the forgiveness of sin, and of our adoption to be the sons of God by the Holy Ghost, are visibly signed and sealed; Faith is confirmed, and Grace increased by virtue of prayer unto God. The Baptism of young Children is in any wise to be retained in the Church, as most agreeable with the institution of Christ.

Baptism is as stated above, "a sign of Regeneration or new Birth", which is why a person has to have heard the word of God, believed and repented, turned to Christ by faith, be born again, then be baptized.

What to do.

Galatians 6 vs 1-10
1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load. 6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
End of Scripture.

I prayerfully hope that I have listened carefully enough to our Lord's Holy Spirit to be able to bring these teachings clearly enough.
If anyone has a different opinion concerning the Bible as the Word of God, or would like to further discuss anything on this page, then please email me. I am happy to talk over these thinks further if ever you want to, but at this time I am quite sure I have said all that our Lord originally wanted me to say.

In finishing. I do not believe there is any Scriptural support to break fellowship over the subject of baptism.

Liberalism in the Church is like a disease, it only gets worse, look below and see where liberalism has lead in 2008.

The future of the Anglican Church hangs in the balance as conservative leaders gather today in Jerusalem. Conservative Anglicans are coming together at The Global Anglican Futures Conference and will be discussing, among other issues, their outrage at what they believe to be the liberalization of the Church. Some have chosen to boycott the Lambeth Conference and plan to address the issue of homosexuality in the Church and the “crisis of authority” at the GAFCON meeting. Bishop of Lewes, the Right Reverend Wallace Benn will be part of the gathering. He said:

“There is, in the Anglican Communion, a battle going on for the soul of the church between those who believe the Bible and want to see the church live by the teachings of the Bible and those who want to accommodate the Bible to the sentiments and the views of the age in which we live.”

The meeting follows the decision of the Episcopal Church in the USA to ordain a gay bishop — a contentious move that has caused deep divisions in the worldwide church. US Church leaders appointed Gene Robinson as Bishop of New Hampshire in 2003.

In every generation. Our Lord Jesus raises up simple believers. Bible believing Christians both Jew and non Jew. Our calling is to love and glorify God. To reach the lost, and to bring warnings, calling to repentance the churches that are slipping away, and are in danger of full blown apostasy. Our love for Jesus and you along with all people compels us. Those who hear.
Be zealous and repent before it becomes too late. Return to the Bible as the Word of God. Encourage your church in Biblical Christianity by emailing this site to your pastor, and standing for biblical truth yourself. Simply be a believer. Pray and Study your Bible daily. Don't slip away. We love you in Jesus. Send us your prayer requests. Keep Watch, Jesus said Keep Watch.
Many Christians have unknowingly been drawn into false teaching. The Bible reveals truth and each church denomination aught to line up with God's Word. One of the worst churches for false teaching is the Roman Catholic Church, When I ask ex Roman Catholics, why have they left the Catholic Church to follow Jesus, they say either, I read the Bible for myself, or they say one day I believed the Bible. The many ex Catholics that I have fellowship ed with, don't hate Catholics, they love Catholics like I do, but in following Jesus, like me they are compelled to share Biblical truth with their Catholic friends and to pray for their Salvation. Christian's should come out of the Roman Catholic Church so to not share in her heretical teachings. Those who promote her share in her wickedness. We are to call believers out of Rome just like Christians have for nearly 1700 years. As we fall away, one biblical truth at a time, we are in danger of total apostasy. Liberally minded apostate beliefs include infant baptism. Money preachers. Evolution. Ecumenicalism with Rome. Women bishops/elders/pastors. Women bible teachers to the whole Church. Homosexual clergy. etc. You may be experiencing upset because of what you have just read. Please don't be upset, all I ask you is this. What does the Bible say about these subjects. Go read your bible for yourself, use a concordance, study everything in the bible concerning every subject, in this way the bible truth will shine through and you also will be left without doubt. If you wish just click above on the Bible Course. Its called the Alpha and Omega Bible Course. Don't be discouraged, Jesus has led you to this study. Its for all Christians and its especially for all pastors. See Course number 6. 22. 8. 21. 20. 27.
This websites aim is to encourage both yours and my faith in God, and the authority of the Bible. Christians who support unbiblical teachings, begin to fulfil 2 Thess 2 vs 1-3. Its where we get the word apostasy. If you are a Roman Catholic or a promoter of the Roman Catholic religion and you don't know of any of their false teaching please email me and we can chat. Love in Jesus, from Stan.

This on the left is very thought provoking.

Healing Testimony by Stan Earle. www.lifetothefullchurch.com
On a Saturday afternoon in the month of June 2008 Jesus healed my knees.
As an ex competitive bodybuilder I had suffered a hip injury in 1996, training in Stan's Gym with Daniel Leviene, a young powerlifter,we were using the maximum weight on a leg press machine. I had been getting sets of 8 reps and Daniel had been getting sets of 15 reps, with my competitive nature, I was putting everything into each rep, when suddenly in between sets, my right hip began to really hurt. I thought, what has happened, and immediately started to pray for Jesus to heal me for my next set. Over the next few hours the pain began to set in and over the next few years I had to get used to limping with bad hip pain and sciatica going right down ito my right foot. I continued to follow Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, just as I had done since Jesus saved me by God's amazing grace in April 1990.

I was just following Jesus with a limp. Laying down at night with my hip herting I began to think, O well this is it. Then our Lord reminded me that due to my faith in Jesus, that one day I would be made whole in the resurrection of the righteous.
I was at this time evolved in a Christian outreach in South Ockendon Essex, walking from house to house, delivering gospel leaflets, inviting people to church, also delivering audio tapes with my testimony on, doing everything I was led to do, to reach those who do not yet know or understand the wonderful saving grace of God through Jesus Christ our Crucified and risen Saviour. Limping along I prayed, Lord heal my hip so that I can do you work without pain. In time our Lord answered my prayer and took the pain out of my hip and healed my sciatica nerve pain. Wonderful healer Jesus.

Ok so now Jesus had healed my hip, I was able to begin to train legs again in the gym, now I was soon to realize that all that inactivity due to my bad hip, had caused some knee deteriation. Now my knees hert, even when walking up stairs, or getting out of the chair, or when I ran. Jumping around was definitely out. Once I began to lift weights, my knees had pains, as if there was something sharp in both knees, grinding, stopping there smooth movement. This pain eased with the use of cod liver oil and joint tablets, but it was still there. Obviously I had prayed to Jesus, asking for healing, and I had each time believed that I was healed. But I wasn't. Anyway, as I continued in my walk with Jesus, testifying to God's saving grace and His healing power, due to the fact that Jesus had also healed my left shoulder on the night Jesus saved me. I began to pray for us to find a music teacher for my daughter. One day we had a leaflet put through our door, and my wife Julie and I thought we would phone and ask about the music lessons. Now my prayer requirement had been that my daughters music teacher would be able to teach Christian music, so that my daughter could worship Jesus as she played.

WOW. I phoned the number, and after introducing myself to the music teacher and explaining my requirements, the ladies name was Betty. I was quickly praising Jesus, because Betty had been saved by Jesus herself, along with her husband Alan Ting. Well over the next year or so, our sister in the Lord, Betty taught our daughter and it was great. During this time we were led to begin to have Christian services in Stan's Gym Chapel on fridays at 7-30pm. We didn't have anybody to lead the praise and worship of God, so I asked Betty, praise Jesus, Betty had spoken to her husband Alan, they both agreed to come and lead praise and worship. It was a great evening, we were all touched by our Lord's Spirit, we heard the Word of God, and we broke bread, all glory to God for saving us.

Many months later, I was taking my daughter to her weekly music lesson, when as I was entering Alan and Betty's house to pick my daughter up, I heard our Lord speak to my spirit, ask for prayer for your knees. I continued to walk in and saw Betty, after saying hi.
I asked, can you pray for my knees and back. Betty praised Jesus and said, I will go and get Alan, as he has a healing ministry through Jesus. Betty went and got Alan and we said hi, Alan then sat me down and began to ask, and listen to my story, and to find out what hert. After a short while, Alan beckoned me to stand in the center of their lounge, even as I stood up, my knees hert, and my back.

As moved by God's Holy Spirit we all started praying to Jesus. Alan bent down and put his hands on my knees and began to pray for Jesus to heal me. Betty was praying and prophesying over me, and I was just drenched in God's Holy Spirit, crying to Jesus in thankfulness. Alan kept praying and in Jesus name speaking be healed in Jesus name over my knees. They were both proclaiming the Holy Scriptures promises. "By the stripes of Jesus you are healed". I was so thankful to Jesus. After a while Alan asked me to bend down and see what my knees felt like. I was so blessed, I was a little scared to bend down, just in case my knees still hert. Anyway by faith I bent down and stood back up again, Alan and Betty asked, well how are they. I said they are a little better, but they still hert. Alan got straight back to the laying on of his hands on my knees and Alan continued to ask Jesus to heal me. Betty continued to pray and speak out God's promises over my life, and I continued to receive God's love and His Holy Spirits blessings. I was thank you Jesus for healing me, and recommitting my life afresh to His service, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, I kept thanking Him for saving me and for all the things that Jesus had done for me.

After what seemed to be about 10 or 15 minutes standing in the presence of almighty God, filled with His Glory. Alan said to me, now what are your knees like. A bent down and stood up, and they didn't hert. The grinding pain had gone. Glory to God. My back felt a lot better as well. This was the day that Jesus healed my knees. From that day i have kept thanking Jesus for healing me, and now about three weeks later, my knees are stronger than ever. I have been back weight training my legs, and I have been enjoying no grinding sharp pains. Its great to be able to walk up stairs again, carrying one of my sons, and having power in my legs, without pain.

Its brilliant to be able to jump about without the fear of my legs buckling do to any sharp pains. Even to play football with my sons or my daughter, all without sharp pains. Isn't Jesus amazing.

Praise God I was obedient to God's prompting. Ask for prayer.

Why don't you ask for prayer today, Jesus can save, heal and deliver, there is nothing impossible with God. Why don't you pray to Jesus for yourself right now. In 1990 I did, and after repenting and asking Jesus for forgiveness, I cry ed, Jesus take my life. Then I prayed Jesus heal my shoulder so that I can do what you know I want to do. At that moment by the grace of God, Jesus saved me and healed me. I was born again of the Holy Spirit. Healed and delivered. Since that Sunday morning at around 3 am I have never been the same. I just want to serve Jesus with my new life, and encourage others to believe. Jesus saved me from the consequences of my sins that would have took me to the fires of hell.
God is as real as you are, turn to Jesus yourself, as we have all broken God's Laws, and need His forgiveness in Jesus to enter Heaven.
I do hope that I have explained myself well enough, so that you will become as I am today. Saved by the grace of God in Jesus name.

Question: In what year was Jesus born?
Rebekah Earle
was led by the Lord to ask the above question, her study led to the information below. 12-May-07. All Glory to God through Christ.

Answer:
It is good that we want to know about Jesus. One can never learn too much about the greatest man to have ever walked on earth.

The exact day of Jesus' birth is difficult to establish beyond all doubt. The fact of Jesus' birth, the place, the nature, and the purpose are clearly taught in the scriptures (Matt. 1; 2). However, God did not see fit to explicitly reveal the date. We do know that Jesus was born during the reign of Herod the King (Matt. 2: 1). History informs us that this Herod died in 4 B. C. Hence, Jesus would have been born no later than 4 B. C. We also learn from the Bible that a census was being taken at the time of Jesus' birth, in fact, Joseph and Mary were at Bethlehem to enroll when Jesus was born (Lk. 2: 1-7). Quirinius, the Governor of Syria, conducted this census. Based on the believed date of this census, some place Jesus' birth at 6 B. C. Some scholars believe Jesus was born in 5 B. C. In the center column reference of some versions of the King James Translation, we read regarding the time of Matthew 2, "The fourth year before the common account called Anno Domini (A. D., dm)." This date, I believe, is the product of the work of Dionysius Exiguus, a sixth century Roman Catholic monk. If we assume that History is correct concerning Herod the Greats death then we know for certain that Dionysius Exiguus the sixth century Roman Catholic monk got the date wrong. This would mean that each year the year is actually 6 years further on from Jesus birth.
So from the year 2007 it is actually the year 2013. We are closer to Jesus return than some first believed. If Dionysius Exiguus did get Jesus birth date wrong then its not surprising considering how many other things the Roman Catholic Church has over the centuries got wrong, like the Sabbath day for instance. The Roman Catholic Church began under Constantine 325AD and taught that the Sabbath was a Sunday when actually the Holy Scriptures teach that Jesus was Crucified as the Sabbath was drawing near, the Sabbath is Friday sunset and the Sabbath ends Saturday sunset. Jesus arose from the dead in fulfillment to the Scripture on the third day, the Scriptures teach that Jesus arose early on the first day of the week. The Sunday is the first day of the week. Sunday therefore is not the Sabbath, the Sabbath begins Friday sunset and ends Saturday sunset. The whole of israel knows when the Sabbath is.

The real matter of importance. The matter of great consequence is that Jesus was born of a virgin, just as prophesied 700 years earlier (Matt. 1: 23; Isa. 9: 6). Jesus lived a sinless life and died a sacrificial death (Heb. 4: 15; Matt. 26: 28). Jesus claimed to be the Son of God and proved that claim by many undeniable miracles (Jn. 20: 30, 31).

Christians celebrate the glorious death and resurrection of Jesus each Lord's Day when they observe the Lord's Supper (Matt. 26: 26-29, Acts 20: 7). Jesus is the truth, the way, and the life (Jn. 14: 6). This same Jesus who experienced such a humble birth is coming back as the exalted judge of all men (Matt. 25: 31-46). Are you ready to meet with God, what if it was right now, your judgment.

Christian Legal Center - Foster Case in Daily Telegraph.

Committed Christian couple Eunice and Owen Johns are contesting the decision of Derby Council Social Services to withdraw their fostering application following concerns that their beliefs about sexual ethics and in particular the practice of homosexuality did not meet diversity standards. The couple, who have previously fostered children, were surprised and dismayed to learn that their application had been withdrawn following a series of meetings and interviews with social workers. They feel that their beliefs about the practice of homosexuality are the reason for the Council's unwillingness to take their application any further. The Christian Legal Center is supporting the couple and will pursue legal action should the Council refuse to reconsider the Johns' application. It is likely that any action would challenge the diversity standards which the Council allege the couple failed to meet.

It is essential we stand for freedom in this vital area. The case of Family Law Magistrate, Andrew McClintock, demonstrates how Christians will find it increasingly difficult to hold Judicial office in Family Law when challenging whether it is in a child's best interests to be placed in a same sex household . In the same field, the case of Owen and Eunice Johns demonstrates how it will be increasingly difficult for Christian couples to access and be successful in the adoption and fostering process. As Christians we must face head on these important social and legal challenges. It is vital that Christians are able to participate equally in the whole process of fostering and adopting children - whether they are in position of 'placing' the vulnerable children as judiciary, working within social services or as prospective foster or adoptive parents.

A baby holding the hand of the surgeon. At 21 weeks the baby lived.
This picture began circulating in November. It should be 'The Picture of the Year,' or perhaps, 'Picture of the Decade.' It won't be.

In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the US paper which published it, you probably would never have seen it. The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner.

The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother's womb. Little Samuel's mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta . She knew of Dr. Bruner's remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, he performs these special operations while the baby is still in the womb.

During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. As Dr.Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon's finger.

Dr.Bruner was reported as saying that when his finger was grasped, it was the most emotional moment of his life, and that for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile. The photograph captures this amazing event with perfect clarity. The editors titled the picture, 'Hand of Hope.' The text explaining the picture begins, 'The tiny hand of 21-week- old fetus Samuel Alexander Armas emerges from the mother's uterus to grasp the finger of Dr. Joseph Bruner as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life.'
Little Samuel's mother said they 'wept for days' when they saw the picture. She said, 'The photo reminds us pregnancy isn't about disability or an illness, it's about a little person.'Samuel was born in perfect health, the operation 100 percent successful. (God has a a wonderful plan for each of us. Reject abortion).
Don't tell me our God isn't an awesome God!
But we as a human race have slipped so far into sin that we are killing our own children. Lord have mercy.

BIBLE MEDITATION:
"Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever."
Revelation 7:12

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
I heard about a man who got a little excited in a church. He kept shouting, "Praise the Lord!" One day, some of the brethren called on him while he was plowing his fields. When they were finished talking, he hung his head and said, "I know it's the truth. I have disturbed the services, but, you know I sit there and think what the Lord has done for me . . . how He died in agony and blood for me upon the cross...how He's forgiven all of my sins...how He's filled me with the spirit and...here, hold this mule while I shout!" If being a Christian and going to heaven doesn't excite you, you have calluses on your soul. It's exciting to know the Lord Jesus Christ!

ACTION POINT:
When was the last time you raised your hands and shouted "Praise the Lord!" Maybe right now is a good time!

Ezekiel 33 (New King James Version)

Ezekiel 33

The Watchman and His Message

1) Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, 3 when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, 4 then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’
  7
“So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. 8 When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 9 Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
10
“Therefore you, O son of man, say to the house of Israel: ‘Thus you say, “If our transgressions and our sins lie upon us, and we pine away in them, how can we then live?”’ 11 Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’

The Fairness of God’s Judgment
12 “Therefore you, O son of man, say to the children of your people: ‘The righteousness of the righteous man shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression; as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall because of it in the day that he turns from his wickedness; nor shall the righteous be able to live because of his righteousness in the day that he sins.’ 13 When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, but he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die. 14 Again, when I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ if he turns from his sin and does what is lawful and right, 15 if the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he has stolen, and walks in the statutes of life without committing iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 16 None of his sins which he has committed shall be remembered against him; he has done what is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
17
“Yet the children of your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ But it is their way which is not fair! 18 When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die because of it. 19 But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and does what is lawful and right, he shall live because of it. 20 Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, I will judge every one of you according to his own ways.”

Toronto Blessing.
[TBC: We have addressed the error of the "Toronto Blessing" in past issues of the newsletter. It is instructive to hear a participant look back nine years later.]

This is a testimony of former Toronto Vineyard Pastor Paul Gowdy [Excerpts]

It has taken me nine years to actually come to the place where I would write this story. Part of the reason was because I was not fully convinced that it is appropriate to speak out against weaknesses in the body of Christ publicly. Another reason is because it has taken years of soul searching to become convinced that what happened in the Toronto Airport Church was actually all bad or at least more bad than good!

Today I would call it a mixed curse concluding that any individual good that came from this experience is far outweighed by much harm and satanic deception. I suppose that therein has been my dilemma. I have tried to live my life in the fear of the Lord and Jesus told us that the unforgivable sin was the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Attributing to Satan what was in fact a work of God. If pressed as to whether or not the Toronto blessing is all God or all Devil I will still be hedgy, but I am convinced that Satan has used this experience to blind people to the historical doctrines of God, to produce fruit in keeping with repentance, to failing to test and discern the spirits and failing to test prophecy.

I could go on and document much excess, folly, sin and latter day reign teaching that manifest from the prophetic end of this Blessing but others have already done that. We sang about Joel's army and the billion soul revival as if it were one of the Ten Commandments, and as always it was just around the corner. Next month, next year etc. ( Jesus actually said that when the son of man returns will he find faith upon the earth ? And if he does not return when he does no flesh would be saved but for the sake of the elect he comes. This is a far cry from the dominionism that is being taught all through the vineyard/prophetic/ spiritual warfare movement. I honestly think that they think they are going to take over the whole world! While in the Vineyard I embraced a life verse from the Apostle Paul the phrase do not go beyond what is written!

I just want to say sorry for the damage, that I have personally done by teaching things that are not correct biblically. I repent before men as I already have before God. I will not excuse my falling into deception. I did not bother to test things when the scriptures commanded us to do so.

I will study the word to show my self a work man approved! I would call on all who read this to pray that the Lord would open the eyes of all who have been involved in this deception. Whether leader or follower, we are loved and the Lord is a forgiving God. He says if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. I believe we are like the church in Laodicea, we think that we are rich, have prospered and need nothing, we do not realise that we are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind and naked. We must take the Counsel of Jesus and buy gold refined in the fire (which is his suffering, not a false spirit!), white garments to clothe our shameful nakedness and salve for our eyes that we might see again. Jesus is calling us to repentance and thank the Lord that he is, for it will lead us to true restoration with our Father! If God has forgiven me and opened my eyes then he can do it for all those caught in deception too. I will finish with a warning from Paul, he says if you think you are standing firm be careful lest you fall.

BIBLE MEDITATION:
"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow . . ." Isaiah 1:18

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
I heard of a man giving his testimony at a Salvation Army meeting. There was a heckler in the crowd shouting, "Would you shut up? You're just dreaming!" The heckler felt a tug at his coattail and a little girl said, "That's my daddy up there. He used to be a drunkard and beat up my mommy. We didn't have enough food to eat. But then he got saved, and my daddy's life is changed. See that woman over there? See how happy she is? That's my mommy. Mister, if my daddy's dreaming, don't wake him up!" What a Savior who can take a poor lost sinner and wash him, save him, and make him new. Hallelujah!

ACTION POINT:
When was the last time you shared Christ with a homeless person? Avail yourself and allow God to use you to shine His light in that direction.

A personal testimony from a biological scientist.
By John Smith.
LIFE AFTER DEATH: IS THE GOOD NEWS TRUE ?
You are reading the true story of someone who used to reject the Bible. Indeed I had no faith at all. I trained as a biological scientist and qualified to postgraduate level. I believed in evolution, rejected special creation and the idea of God. I could not trust the Bible and its messages. I demanded proof that the Good News of Jesus in the Bible was true but it did not happen. I went to church, read books and had many discussions-all to no avail. To cut a long story short, one night in April 1987, I met with three Christian friends to pray (speak with God). One of them said things about me which only I knew. The next thing that happened was the room was filled with a violent wind. It came down from above me and surrounded me. It went through my eardrums and filled my whole body with nothing spared. It was like a scene out of Pentecost! "Suddenly there came from a heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting." ( Acts 2v2). There was no wind outside of the room. The doors and windows were closed. There was no draught within. To me, the only explanation was that Pentecost had been repeated for me. Pentecost was an event that took place in an upper room in Jerusalem nearly two thousand years ago shortly after the death and rising from the dead of Jesus. Once I had discovered the truth about Jesus, I made my commitment to love and serve him shortly afterwards. Christians believe that doing this is the way to obtain what the Bible essentially promises- Eternal Life. Every story about how a person comes to this point is different. But the message is the same. The Bible indicates that this is how you should receive this wonderful gift by praying:

" Lord Jesus Christ, I am truly sorry for all the wrong things I have said, thought and done in my life. I turn form these and ask your forgiveness. I believe that you took all my sin on you when you died on the Cross for me- personally and  that you rose again from the dead. I accept this wonderful gift of Eternal Life by acknowledging you as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank you for what you and you alone have done for me."

" If you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved." (Romans 10v9)

" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, Jesus Christ, that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life." ( John 3v16)

Life to the Full Church believes in the healing power of Jesus. We believe in moving in the gifts of God's Holy Spirit, and we don't doubt that some people have been healed by Jesus within the church gathering of Todd Bentley ministry. Its not the healing power of Jesus that we question but only the ministry and the personal testimony of Todd Bentley. Todd Bentley's testimony deeply concerns us when it is examined in the light of the Holy Bible. Prayerfully consider these following articals and videos.

Asking pastor Jackie Boyd of Light and Life Christian mission about his thoughts on the ministry of Todd Bentley.

Just another toronto ,pensacola

The Florida outpouring that is racing around the globe at an unprecedented speed has an agenda. An agenda that is well hidden behind Christian sounding words and phrases to quell the fears of suspicions and discerning sheep. It is a dark agenda that has been planned for eternity and implemented with military precision. A plan to open you up to hidden wisdom, mystical experiences and spirit guides in preparation for the
coming “paradigm shift.” It is a plan to raise up a New Breed who will discard the old and arise to violently lay hold of the New Order Kingdom in which the church will rule and reign over the earth. It sounds good doesn’t it? I mean it sounds plausible, why, it even sounds Christian. However, this teaching, thinly veiled in Christian terms, is identical in every way to what the occultists, Gnostics, New Agers and esoteric religions teach. However, just as we wrap a nasty pill in bacon to feed a dog his medicine, this teaching has been wrapped in something particularly tasty to make it easier to swallow.

In order to gain a deeper understanding of these heretical teachings we need to take a closer look. Bentley, as you may or may not know, is closely associated with the disgraced Kansas City Prophets Paul Cain and Bob Jones.

Paul Cain, a self professed and unrepentant homosexual and alcoholic, closely adhered to the Latter Rain teachings of heretic William Branham. Branham believed in UFO’s, denied the Trinity, and believed that Eve and the serpent had sex. This is the same Branham who had a spirit guide or 'angel', that he claimed performed the healing miracles, and also believed he was Elijah. Particularly alarming is the fact that Bentley now claims that he has been given Branham’s angel. Cain openly declared that Branham was "the greatest prophet in the 20th century"

Bob Jones was publically disgraced after having women disrobe in his office to receive prophetic ministry naked before the Lord. He is today regarded as one of the fathers of the Prophetic Movement and one of the main disseminators of the Joel's Army, Kingdom Now, Dominionist, Manifest Sons of God, and New Breed, heresies. This is the same Bob Jones who claimed that prophets only needed to be 66 percent accurate because we had not evolved to the place where we could handle 100 percent truth. He also taught that Kansas City Fellowship was the one true church and that all others were to be assimilated into it. Bentley calls Jones his father in the faith.

So what exactly is this doctrine they are disseminating in these modern day revivals and outpourings? The basic tenant of their teaching is that Adam lost dominion over the earth in the Garden of Eden. They believe that the church’s mandate is to recover it. They eschew the hope of heaven and mock and deride Christians who believe in a literal rapture. Instead, they desire dominion here on earth. They believe it is their right and their inheritance to rule and reign, dominate and subdue. They want to rule the earth and all its inhabitants. They aspire to purge the earth it of its evil and bring everything under submission to their authority. What will happen to those who do not wish to be dominated? Simple- they will die.

Of course since they will be ruling and reigning here on earth, there will be no need for rapture. In fact there are some that go so far as to say that it is the wicked that will be raptured. The wicked being those who do not go along with this New Order, this cosmic Christ Consciousness, this evolution into Godhood.

So, who will lead us into the restoration of all things? Certainly not Jesus, no, they teach that it will be the newly restored Five-Fold- Priesthood. According to Intotruth.org, “The Five-fold Priesthood is supposed to emerge in the end times to restore the Church to perfection; Apostles, Prophets and Teachers must prepare the way, like John the Baptist, for a new appearance of the Christ. The restoration of the gifts and ministries to the Church is designed to bring it to "fullness". These authoritarian leaders will judge and purge the Church until it is one undivided Body in the earth. Thus the Restoration churches have adopted a teaching more familiar to us as the Ascended Masters of the New Age, who come to lead us to spiritual transformation.”

These teaching and beliefs are blatantly Gnostic. The term Gnosticism comes from the Greek word gnosis meaning “ultimate knowledge. It is neither religion nor philosophy but rather a collection of knowledge gathered through direct experience with the spirit world. The Gnostics teach that salvation is obtained through knowledge. Gnostics believe that the knowledge necessary for salvation has been revealed through Jesus Christ. They believe He was the pattern son so to speak to lead us into the “Cosmic Christ Consciousness” where we will evolve to become God. Thus our salvation according to the Gnostics is dependent on knowledge and not on the shredding of Christ’s Blood for the remission of our sins. This sounds like the lie of the same serpent who told Eve that her eyes would be open and she would be like God if only she took of the forbidden fruit.

The Gnostics hold that there is a spark of knowledge that resides in an elite few. It is no coincidence that the Florida Outpouring was touched off in a church called Ignite. Liberation of this spark they believe only comes through knowledge of the divine. Salvation thus comes through liberation of the spark from the body. Essentially the modern Gnostic seeks “Cosmic Salvation” through the liberation of this spark. Only when these sparks have been liberated can the world evolve to Godhood. Essentially, the modern Gnostic is looking to perfect the world. They believe that they will literally co-create the conditions necessary for the second coming which they believe will not be a literal coming but will be the full advent of the “Christ Consciousness” on earth. They do not need to look for a literal Christ since they believe they are Christ. Those who are unwilling to “evolve” (which of course would be all true blood bought Christians) will be purged from the earth.

This is identical to what the New Agers proclaim. “All who wish to enter the New Age 'on the physical plane must undergo an 'energy activation' or 'rebirth' - usually marked by a subjective trance-induced 'light experience' where one meets either a 'spirit guide' or one's 'higher self'. This 'altered state of consciousness' will eventually lead to a 'Luciferic initiation' into the 'new humanity', or a vow of allegiance to Lucifer as god. Those who cannot or will not (not sufficiently developed in their spiritual journey) will be sent on to their next life in a global cleansing action' (Alice Bailey, 'The Rays and the Initiations' pp.754-755).

The thing that alarms me most is not that the Gnostics, New Agers, and occultics are speaking heretical mistruths. Indeed we expect them to. The alarming thing is that these mistruths have leached into the soil of the Charismatic movement and spread their poisonous vines into mainline denominations. They are now being shed abroad by these so called revivals and outpourings which further propel their aggressive agenda. Is this a conspiracy theory? No indeed, it is a conspiracy fact! These self styled prophets and apostles are tightly networked and highly organized. They prophesy and declare things and then they work behind the scenes to bring these things to pass. One will prophesy and the others back it up. One will lie and the others swear to it. It is amazing to me that because of their efforts, what was once thought of as heretical and highly blasphemous is now accepted as fact.

Perhaps no man has done more to further the cause of gnosticm and new age philosophy in the church than Rick Joyner. His beliefs are carbon copies of those propagated by the Gnostics, occultists and the New Age Movement. In his book Civil War in the Church, Joyner claims that a war is coming between the grays (who he terms conservative legalists) and the Blues (those holding to the New Knowledge, or New Order). These “Grays” according to Joyner must accept the “New Christianity” or be removed from the earth. Indeed we Grays may pay with our lives for our adherence to Biblical principals and awake to find that those who have betrayed us were the very ones we deemed most spiritual.

Joyner admonishes us to throw off the bonds of slavery to the “old” revelations and embrace the “new” revelations or progressive revelations of the “Latter Rain”. He teaches against the literal second coming and labels those who believe in the rapture as having escapist mentalities. In its place we are to look for the rising of a victorious church that will put all enemies under her feet. This teaching sees Christ invisibly manifest in his ruling and reigning church. The emphasis is no longer Christ but the church and its new self-styled governing apostles and prophets.

The purpose of the revival is to prepare those who will accept it to go on to their final stage of development which will be the merging of God and man. Its purpose is to openly introduce Christians to esoteric teachings and draw them away from the true Christ.

According to the New Agers, “Charismatic congregations in main-line churches are entry points into the Aquarian frontier." The Unfinished Animal: The Aquarian Frontier and the Evolution of Consciousness.

Alice Bailey, mother of the modern New Age Movement, claimed that agents would infiltrate the Christian Church to modify its message, while adapting it as a vehicle for the Universal Religion of the 21st Century.

Remember there is only one world church in the Bible and it is not Gods. The Kingdom of God will not be set up by men but will be set up by Jesus himself at the time of his literal coming. The only way to counteract these heretical teachings is through adherence to sound Biblical Doctrine.

In 2nd Corinthians verse 11 Paul was concerned for believers because, as Eve had believed the lies of the serpent, they were believing the lies of the false teachers who were leading them away from devotion to Christ.

Jesus clearly stated that the end days would be characterized by deception marked by lying signs and wonders. Clearly we are being enticed away to another gospel and another Christ. Our choice is whether we will embrace the Truth or swallow the bacon-wrapped lie.

Luke 11:35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

A Christian registrar wins case against council.
A Christian registrar who refused to conduct same sex ceremonies because of her faith has won a landmark legal battle.Lillian Ladele, 47, was bullied and threatened with the sack by Islington Council for asking to be excused from such occasions. The Council said it would send out the wrong message if Miss Ladele was exempted and her claim had outraged gay rights groups. But the Central London Employment Tribunal upheld Miss Ladele's claims of discrimination and harassment. Miss Ladele heralded her victory as a “triumph of religious liberty.” The tribunal said that: "Islington Council rightly considered the importance of the right of the gay community not to be discriminated against but did not consider the right of Miss Ladele as a member of a religious group.”

The outcome of this case could encourage many other registrars who feel they cannot act against their consciences or with strong beliefs, to follow Miss Ladele’s example.

When You Have Lost It All.
by Russ Lawson

In the last year, I have seen up close some folks who have lost it all.
First, one of the men with whom I work had his house burn to the ground
while he was at work. He and his family lost almost everything they
owned. Just yesterday, my sister and her son, daughter-in-law, kids and
a friend were traveling in their motor home. The engine caught fire;
they got it off the road and within 5 minutes it was burned to the
frame. They had packed for a long trip and in five minutes lost
everything. In both cases, no one was hurt; so what was really lost?
Things!

I'm not going to try and tell you that things are not important; we
have trouble making it through life without some "things." I admit it,
I have "my things" and I like them; they bring me comfort and sometimes
pleasure and I really don't want to do without them if I don't have to.
As hard as it is to loose our things, we all know that things can be
replaced.

Now, some of you have experienced much greater losses, because you have
lost husbands, wives, children, brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers
or perhaps your best friend. You have lost people who were part of your
life, or perhaps in a more personal way, you have lost some of
yourself. Maybe you've lost a finger, a hand, a foot, your vision or
your hearing, or perhaps you have lost an even more important thing:
perhaps you have lost your hope, maybe even your faith.

I ran across a very short, but very profound proverb -- supposedly of
Bulgarian origin -- that brings it all into focus: "God promises a safe
landing, but not a calm passage." I remember the old hymn that has
these words:

My hope is built on nothing less,
  Than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus' Name.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
  All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

Paul gives sound words of wisdom for Timothy to share with other
Christians. Notice what he has to say, because his advice is still very
appropriate:

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant
nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put
their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our
enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and
to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up
treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so
that they may take hold of the life that is truly life (1 Timothy
  6:17-19 NIV)

Where is your hope?

Let me ask you two very short, but very important questions:

What have you lost?

Where is your hope?

As for me, I've lost a few things and a few special people in my life.
However, "My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus' blood and
righteousness, I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly trust in
Jesus' Name!" for I know that God promises us a safe landing, if not a
calm passage through this life.

Minister of deception.
Daily Devotional from Love Worth Finding Ministries

SEPTEMBER 8

BIBLE MEDITATION:
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.
" 2 Timothy 4:3

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Did you know Satan has put his ministers all across America,? (and the world) On Sunday, people will come down and sit in a service and the man in the pulpit may look like a minister, but he will be transformed by Satan into a minister of deception. Isn't that frightening? The Apostle Paul says, "and no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14). Satan is the master of deception. You need to understand that Satan is not against religion. His chief platform is religion.

ACTION POINT:
The next Sunday when you sit in church, put on your ears of discernment. Test the words of your pastor that they agree with the Word of God.

The Bible says several things about the use of wine.

Is Wine Today Like New Testament Wine?

Many wine-drinking Christians today mistakenly assume that what the New Testament meant by wine is identical to wine used today. This, however, is false. In fact today’s wine is by biblical definitions “strong drink,” and hence is forbidden in the Bible! What the Bible frequently meant by wine was basically purified water.

Stein researched wine-drinking in the ancient world, in Jewish sources, and in the Bible.(7) He pointed out that wine in Homer’s day was twenty parts water and one part wine (Odyssey 9.208-9). Pliny referred to wine as eight parts water and one part wine (Natural History 14.6-54). According to Aristophanes, it was stronger: three parts water and two parts wine. Other classical Greek writers spoke of other mixtures: Euenos — three parts water, one part wine; Hesiod — three to one, water to wine; Alexis — four to one: Diocles and Anacreon — two to one: and Ion — three to one. The average was about three or four parts of water to one part of wine. Sometimes in the ancient world one part water would be mixed with one part wine; this was considered strong wine. And anyone who drank wine unmixed was looked on as a Scythian, a barbarian. That means the Greeks would say today, “You are barbarians — drinking straight wine.” For example, Athenaeus quoted Mnesitheus of Athens as saying, “in daily intercourse, to those who drink it moderately it gives good cheer; but if you overstep the bounds it brings violence. Mix it half and half and you get madness; unmixed — bodily collapse.”(8) Here is a pagan saying, “Half and half is madness, and unmixed wine brings death.”

Stein also observes that “in several instances in the Old Testament a distinction is made between ‘wine’ and ’strong drink’” (e.g., Lev. 10:8-9). Strong drink is one thing, wine is another thing. The same distinction is made in Deuteronomy 14:26; 29:6; Judges 13:4; and elsewhere. According to the Talmud the “wine” used in the Passover meal was three parts water and one part wine (cf. 2 Macc. 15:39).(9)

It may also be that the wine Jesus miraculously provided at the wedding in Cana (John 2: 1-11) was a similar drink, that is, wine mixed with water. The word oinos (”wine”) refers sometimes to fermented grape juice (e.g., Eph. 5:18) and sometimes to fresh, not fully fermented grape juice (e.g., Rev. 19:15). Furthermore, in ancient times not many beverages were safe to drink. Stein indicates that in the ancient world water could be made safe in one of several ways. It could be boiled, but this was tedious and costly. Or it could be filtered, but this was not a safe method. Or some wine could be put in the water to kill the germs — one part wine with three or four parts water.

Wine today has a much higher level of alcohol than wine in the New Testament. In fact in New Testament times one would need to drink twenty-two glasses of wine in order to consume the large amount of alcohol in two martinis today. Stein humorously notes, “In other words, it is possible to become intoxicated from wine mixed with three parts water, but one’s drinking would probably affect the bladder long before the mind.”(10)

Though fermented wine was drunk in Bible times and though the Bible approved of wine-drinking, one needs to remember that the alcoholic content was much less than that of wine today. What is used today is not the wine of the New Testament! Therefore Christians ought not drink wine, beer, or other alcoholic beverages for they are actually “strong drink” and are forbidden in Scripture. Even ancient pagans did not drink what some [so-called] “Christians” drink today! Thus it is wrong to argue that since people in Bible times drank wine, Christians today can do the same. Properly speaking, people then drank purified water. New Testament wine was basically a water-purification method. It was not an unsafe liquor; it was a safe liquid. But in America purifying water with wine is unnecessary, and plenty of nonaddictive beverages are available.

Drunkenness Is a Sin

Wine in the Bible was not to be used excessively, and one was not to become drunk with the fruit of the vine. In the Old Testament a drunkard was put to death (Deut. 21:20-21). Drunkenness was considered to be such an incorrigible sin that capital punishment was used for it as well as for murder, rape, blasphemy of parents, etc. According to 1 Corinthians 5:11, Christians are to separate themselves from a person who claims to be a Christian but who is a drunkard.

Drunkards “shall not inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Cor. 6:9-10), nor will homosexuals or other kinds of sinners. Practicing homosexuals and drunkards do not inherit the kingdom of God. Obviously God hates drunkenness. Paul also wrote in Ephesians 5:18, “be not drunk with wine.” And drunkenness is listed in Galatians 5:19-21 among “the deeds of the flesh.”

Strong Drink Is Deceptive and Sinful

The Bible says much about strong drink. For example, the priests were to avoid strong drink (Lev. 10:8-9). And Solomon wrote, “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging:” (Prov. 20:1). God is opposed to someone using strong drink because it brings deception and turbulence into his life. Rulers should not take strong drink, for it distorts their ability to think clearly and to judge clearly. Strong drink is not for kings lest they pervert justice (Prov. 31:4-5). Isaiah wrote, “Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink” (Isa. 5:11). This writer had an uncle who was drunk every day before noon his entire adult life. At about age forty he died of liver disease. He experienced the truth of Isaiah 24:9, “strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.” It may seem sweet to begin with, but it will be bitter in the end. It was the false prophet who said, “I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink” (Mic. 2:11). God is opposed to using strong drink as a beverage.(1) The Hebrew word for “strong drink” is shekar. It is used 23 times and refers to an intoxicating drink made from barley, pomegranates, dates, apples, or honey. The more common Old Testament word for “wine” is yayin, used 141 times. The word tirosh on the other hand, occasionally translated “new wine,” means the freshly pressed juice of the grape, that is, grape juice that has not yet fully fermented.(2) It is used 38 times (e.g., Gen. 27:28: Joel 2:24: Mic. 6:5).

In addition, drinking results in a slowing of the thinking processes (Prov. 31:4-5; Isa. 28:7; Hos. 4:11); a stupor (Jer. 25:27; 51:39); sickness (Isa. 19:14; 28:7-8; Jer. 48:26); staggering (loss of balance and mental control) (Job 12:25; Isa. 28:7-8; 29:9); arrogance (Hab. 2:5); forgetfulness (Prov. 31:6-7); confusion and delirious dreams (Prov. 23:31, 33); sleepiness (Gen. 9:20-24; 19:33); lack of feeling (Prov. 23:31, 35); bloodshot eyes (Prov. 23:29-30); and poverty (Prov. 23:20-21).

Deciding About Wine-Drinking Today

How should one decide today whether or not to drink alcoholic beverages? Christians should carefully consider the following four questions.

What Are the Facts about Alcohol?

Before a person decides to drink or to continue drinking, he should be fully aware of the following facts about alcoholic beverages and their effects today.(11)

1 An estimated ten million problem drinkers or alcoholics are in the United States adult population.
2. Of adults who drink, 36 percent can be classed as problem drinkers.
3. In addition, an estimated 3.3 million young people ages 14-17 are problem drinkers.
4. Alcohol-related deaths may run as high as 200,000 per year. In two years’ time there are as many alcoholic-related deaths as there were in the entire Vietnam War!
5. Alcohol abuse and alcoholism cost the United States about $50 billion in 1975. That figure has risen considerably since then.
6. Between 1966 and 1975 the percent of high school students who said they had been drunk increased from 19 percent to 45 percent.
7. Alcohol is one cause of cancer.
8. Fetal alcohol syndrome is the third greatest cause of birth defects.
9. Evidence exists that social drinking impairs one’s social and intellectual capacities. Rather than getting sharper, people who drink get duller.
10. Half of all traffic fatalities and one-third of all traffic injuries are alcohol-related. Whereas a person has the legal right to drink, he does not have the right to endanger the lives of others on the highway by his drinking.
11. A high percentage of child-abusing parents have drinking problems.
12. A relatively high correlation exists between alcohol consumption and robbery, rape, assault, homicide; and more than one-third of suicides involve alcohol.
13. Taxpayers pay $11 to offset each $1 paid in liquor revenue.(12)

II. Will Wine-Drinking Lead Anyone Else to Sin?

Christians are to be concerned not only about their own lives but also about others. Paul wrote in Philippians 2:4, “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” And Christians should seriously consider Romans 14:21: “It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth.” A believer should ask himself, “Will my drinking cause anyone else to sin? Even if it would not be a problem to me, is it possible that it would cause someone else to stumble?” This writer knows of former alcoholics who have attended church communion services in which fermented wine has been served, and just the taste of a little bit of it drove them back into alcoholism.

III. Can Wine-Drinking Be Done to the Glory of God?

Paul wrote, “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Cor. 10:31). If a Christian cannot be praising God and glorifying Him while he is drinking, then it is not good for him, and it is not glorifying to God.

Several reasons may be offered as to why Christians ought to refrain from wine-drinking. First, people have plenty of wholesome, non-addictive beverages. The situation today is unlike biblical times when there were not many wholesome beverages. People often did not have good water available; it was often polluted. Travelers today know that in many foreign countries pure drinking water is difficult to obtain. In many foreign places, travelers become sick from drinking the water. This is similar to biblical times.

Thus it is wrong to argue that since people in Bible times drank wine, Christians today can do the same.

Properly speaking, people then drank purified water. New Testament wine was basically a water-purification method. It was not an unsafe liquor; it was a safe liquid. But in America purifying water with wine is unnecessary, and plenty of non-addictive beverages are available.

Second, America is an alcoholic culture, but the New Testament culture was not. Ten million Americans are alcoholics, with more than three million of them teenagers. In New Testament times, there were comparatively few drunks, and alcohol was not a problem in their culture to the extent it is in this nation.

Third, total abstinence is the safer policy. A person cannot abuse drinking if he does not drink. In Christianity Today a few years ago, a writer asked, “How many people would fly if they knew there was a chance of one in ten that the plane would crash?”(13) The chances of airplanes crashing are certainly not that high — far from it; but if they were, undoubtedly many people would refuse ever to board another plane. And yet the chances of an occasional or moderate drinker becoming an alcoholic are in fact one in ten!

Fourth, total abstinence is the more consistent policy. A few years ago when the drug culture became so dominant and people became so concerned about young people’s use of marijuana, heroin, and harder drugs, the government studied the problem of drug abuse. The results chagrined many adults: The number one problem in the United States is alcohol! It is not marijuana, nor heroin, nor LSD, but alcohol — the “establishment” drug, the adults’ drug, the legal drug. This in no way suggests that marijuana or other illegal drugs should be approved. But young people took at adults and say, “hypocrites! You approve of your drug, and it’s the biggest one in the country, and you disapprove of our drugs.” And therefore it is difficult to win young people from drugs; they see the sheer hypocrisy of many adults.

Since today’s society is alcohol-polluted, this writer suggests that Christians take a strong stand against all alcoholic beverages. This writer would like to suggest that Christians, in a Nazarite like vow, should protest the destructive effects of alcoholism and should voluntarily abstain from all alcohol consumption.

In His Love,

Pastor Tim Burt.

More on the same subject.

"Do not look on the wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it swirls around smoothly; at the last it bites like a serpent, and stings like a viper." Proverbs 23:31 and 32NKJV.
You may be surprised to find that the word beer is used in the Bible. In the New International Version of the Bible the Hebrew word "shakar" is translated as "beer". In the King James versions of the Bible the Hebrew word "shakar" is translated as "strong or intoxicating drink." They made these drinks from dates or other fruits (grapes excepted) or barley millet, etc.
Drinking alcohol today has become common place, and many Christians see nothing wrong with it. They use the Bible to condone their actions-saying, "Didn’t Paul tell Timothy to take a little wine for his stomach’s sake?" They question, "Didn’t Jesus drink wine?" Then they insist that Jesus made alcoholic wine at the wedding in Cana of Galilee.
These sound like convincing arguments until you understand that the main Hebrew word for "wine" (yayin) or the main Greek word (oinos) can refer to a fermented or unfermented drink. The wine spoken of in the Bible is a generic term. The context in each case indicates whether it was speaking of fermented wine or not.
You might ask, "Could people in Bible times keep their juices from fermenting when there was no refrigeration?" The answer is , "Yes". To preserve their sweet juices in a hot climate, people often boiled the juice down until it was thick like syrup, and later when they were ready to use it they would add water to it. Also they would boil their juices and, then seal the air out. There were other methods to prevent fermentation like filtration or by drawing off the juice from the subsided yeast, and by the use of sulfur. They could, at times keep juice in a cool place such as in a cave, underground or in water. For more on this subject read, Bible Wines, by William Patton or Wine In The Bible: A Biblical Study On The Use Of Alcoholic Beverages, by Samuele Bacchiocchi).
So to assume that every time the Bible uses the word "wine"-it is talking about a fermented drink is not looking at the facts! Isaiah 16:10b says, "…no treaders will tread out wine in their presses…" As soon as the juice was pressed out of the grapes it was called wine. But in Genesis 9:21 it is clear that fermented wine is what Noah drank to get drunk on. (It is well to note, however, how it got him and his son Ham into trouble drinking it!)
Now the argument, Paul told Timothy to take a little wine for his stomach’s sake. Yes, Paul told Timothy, "Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your often infirmities." 1 Timothy 5:23 This text clearly implies that Timothy did not drink any wine before this time. The recommendation by Paul was strictly medicinal, so to quote the advice of Paul to Timothy to justify drinking is to distort the intent of the passage! Again because the word "wine" is used many people jump to the conclusion it is fermented, when in fact Paul and the rest of Scripture have already warned against the use of fermented wine.
Then you ask, "was unfermented wine ever used as a medicine?" Yes, Athenaeus states, "Let him take sweet wine, either mixed with water or warmed, especially that kind called protropos (juice coming from the grapes before they are pressed), as being good for the stomach…"(Athenaeus, Banquet 2:24).
The question, "Didn’t Jesus drink fermented wine?" comes from what the false religious leaders said about Jesus in Matthew 11:18,19. "For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ "The Son of Man came eating and drinking (Jesus was not fasting like John, and did drink unfermented wine), and they say, "Look, a gluttonous man and a winebibber (wine drinker), a friend of tax collectors and sinners! NKJV
John was a Nazarite and was not to drink grape juice or fermented wine Luke 1:15. Jesus on the other hand had a different type of ministry. Jesus did talk with drinkers who were considered sinners and this made the religious leaders angry. These were the same men who said Jesus was a glutton and had a demon. These leaders were jealous and upset because Jesus was becoming so popular. They were lying about Jesus being a glutton, about Jesus having a demon, and they were also lying when they said Jesus was a winebibber (or alcoholic drinker)!
The Bible says Jesus always did the will of the Father who is in heaven. So He would not disobey God the Father who said by the Holy Spirit, "Do not look on the wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it swirls around smoothly; at the last it bites like a serpent, and stings like a viper." Proverbs 23:31 and 32NKJV
Now, "Did Jesus make alcohol for the wedding in Cana?" The term used in, John 2:1-11, is "oinos" the generic Greek word for both fermented or unfermented juice. We must determine from the context whether it is a fermented or unfermented drink here.
The person in charge of the wedding party remarked, after he had tasted the wine, "…you have kept the good wine until now." Good wine was fresh grape juice, the fermented grape juice was considered inferior. Also Jesus would know about Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (being God as well as man), and would not give alcohol to a wedding party, which probably included several pregnant women. No, Jesus did NOT make a fermented wine at this wedding. What He did do was to give a wedding gift of at least 120 gallons of fresh grape juice.
The Hebrew word (chemah) is translated as "poison" when speaking of fermented wine in Deuteronomy 32:33. Alcohol is a toxic mind-altering drug. Alcohol causes ill effects on the digestive, muscular, skeletal, nervous and circulatory systems. It causes cirrhosis of the liver, jaundice, pancreatitis, and blackouts as well as many other sicknesses.
About sixty percent of all traffic accidents and seventy percent of all murders are alcohol related. Then there is the untold domestic violence it has caused. Proverbs 20:1, warns, "Wine is a mocker, intoxicating drink (beer) arouses fighting, whoever is led astray by it is not wise!"
God’s Word is consistent, it does not tell us not to drink fermented wine in one part of the Bible and in another only drink a little. Here are three types of New Testament references that people think are saying it is all right to drink a little fermented wine or beer, etc. First, Ephesians 5:18, in some versions the word "excess" is used. The New King James Version more accurately uses the word "dissipation" (meaning intemperance or the opposite of temperance-which is total abstinence from alcoholic liquors).
Second, in other references such as 1 Timothy 3:2,3 and Titus 1:7, we have the phrase, "not given to wine"1 this is taken by some to mean, "not to be addicted" to alcohol. But in reality the Greek word used here is, "mee-paroinon", literally, not at, by near, or with wine (alcohol). According to Paul, total abstinence is an indispensable qualification for a pastor.
The third type of reference that has caused confusion to some, are the ones like 1 Timothy 3:8 and Titus 2:3…"not given to much wine"2. In order to understand this verse we will need to understand a popular vice of that time. That was to drink a lot of unfermented wine. They used various methods to promote thirst. These drinkers might continue drinking all night at their feasts. Excessive drinking, even of non-alcoholic drinks corresponded to gluttony-the excessive use of food. Paul is simply guarding the deacons against a vice of the day. It would be similar in our day to "bulimia" (eating or drinking to the point of being gorged and then vomiting). This is unbecoming behavior for a Christian in any age! (1 The New International Version says here, "not given to drunkenness" 2 "not given to much wine" these translations do not make sense in light of Proverbs 23:31 and 32 and the rest of the injunctions against any drinking of alcohol).
In Revelation 1:6, we are called kings and priests, according to Scripture kings or princes were not to drink fermented wine or intoxicating drink. In Proverbs 31:4,5 we are also told that priests were not to drink any wine or intoxicating drink when they went into the tabernacle (or temple), Leviticus 10:9 and 10. Then 1 Corinthians 3:16 says, "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?"
For more study on this subject read also: 1 Samuel 1:13-16, Proverbs 4:14-17, 23:29-35, Isaiah 5:22, 28:7,8 Jeremiah 35:1-6,18,19; Daniel 1:8-16, Amos 2:12 Habakkuk 2:5,15-16; 1 Peter 1:13; 1 Thessalonians 5:6-8.

Another Study on the same subject.

Some think that the Bible condones drinking of alcohol because it talks about wine.
They say, “Didn’t Jesus make wine for a wedding?”
What many people don’t know is that the word “wine” in the Bible is a generic term. The context (words before and after the word wine) in each case indicates whether it was fermented or not.
In, Isaiah 16:10b, grape juice is called “wine” (yayin) when it is still in the press, saying, "No treaders will tread out wine in the presses" where it clearly cannot be fermented yet.
Now, “Did Jesus make alcohol for the wedding in Cana? We find the story in, John 2:1-11, in the New Testament.
The person in charge of the wedding, after he had tasted the wine Jesus had just made, commented…”you have kept the good wine until now.” Good wine was fresh grape juice, the fermented grape juice was considered inferior.
Another way we know that this was not an alcoholic drink is because Jesus always obeyed the Father. In, Proverbs 23:31 and 32 it commands, “Do not look on the wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it swirls around smoothly; at the last it bites like a serpent, and stings like a viper.” No, Jesus did NOT make a fermented wine at this wedding, but rather He gave a wedding gift of at least 120 gallons of fresh unfermented grape juice.
In another place in the Bible, Deuteronomy 32:33, it says fermented wine is poison. Alcohol is a toxic mind-altering drug. Alcohol causes ill effects on the digestive, muscular, skeletal, nervous and circulatory systems. It causes cirrhosis of the liver, jaundice, pancreatitis, and blackouts along with many other sicknesses.
The Bible says wine is a mocker, intoxicating drink arouses fights, whoever is led astray by it is not wise! Proverbs 20:1
We need to trust God’s Word, God does not lie. The misunderstanding is with us; because in our culture all wine is fermented, but not in the Bible.
Some people also think the Bible encourages drinking of a little alcohol because Paul told Timothy, “Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your often infirmities.” Paul was telling Timothy to drink grape juice for medicinal purposes. Remember the Bible does not use the word “grape juice”, but always the word “wine” which can be either fermented or unfermented depending on the context.
Getting drunk should not be taken lightly because the Bible says: “Don’t you know that those who live immoral lives, who are idol worshipers, adulterers or homosexuals-will have no share in His Kingdom. Neither thieves or greedy people, ‘drunkards’, slanderers, or robbers.” 1 Cor. 6:10.
Many young people today drink to get drunk. God’s Word has something to say about this also: “Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbor, pressing him to your bottle, even to make him drunk, that you may look on their nakedness!” Habakkuk 2:15.

Maybe as you have read this, you have realized that you are not right with God.
You think that if you were to die, you would not go to heaven. You can be saved today by turning from sin and obeying, John 3:16, where it says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Repent today from drinking alcohol, once your free from it in Jesus name, you will look back with thankfulness to God.
Ask Jesus to forgive you all your sins, give your life to Jesus afresh. Believe Jesus paid for your sins on the Cross by His death and ask Jesus for you to receive new life in Him, and confess Jesus is risen and is now as your Lord and Savior. Praise Jesus, worship Jesus, and begin to give Him thanks in all circumstances forever. Stay out of of temptation, go to Christian services rather than be around alcohol, phone a Christian and go have some fellowship rather than go to a pub or club. As you look back you will look back on some great times in Jesus name. Come Lord Jesus Come. AMEN.

Sadly the Church of England has slipped so far from God's truth that the Church of England has wrongly apologized to Charles Darwin the evolutionist.

Church of England apologizes to Charles Darwin.
by Rev Dr Malcolm Brown, Director of Mission and Public Aff. http://www.cofe.anglican.org/darwin/malcolmbrown.html
Charles Darwin: 200 years from your birth, the Church of England owes you an apology for misunderstanding you and, by getting our first reaction wrong, encouraging others to misunderstand you still. But whilst it is not difficult to see why evolutionary thinking was offensive at the time, on reflection it is not such an earth-shattering idea.

Darwin was, in many ways, a model of good scientific method. He observed the world around him, developed a theory which sought to explain what he saw, and then set about a long and painstaking process of gathering evidence that would either bear out, contradict, or modify his theory. As a result, our understanding of the world is expanded, but the scientific process continues. In science, hypotheses are meant to be constantly tested. Subsequent generations have built on Darwin’s work but have not significantly undermined his fundamental theory of natural selection.
Charles Darwin: 200 years from your birth, the Church of England owes you an apology. (Lord have mercy on the C.E)

Friend Tony John's email to Stan Earle Sep 2008.

Hope you and yours are on top of the world.

A long time ago I watched TV in horror as two young British soldiers drove their car in to a funeral parade in Northern Ireland. The mob dragged them from the car and beat them to death. I remember as if it was yesterday that one of the mob was wearing a fluffy green jumper. He had one of the young soldiers in a head lock as he dragged him from the car. There was something wrong about the fluffy jumper, it was out of place. I would have expected the man to have rolled up selves with tattooed arms, or a leather jacket or something. The nice fluffy jumper seemed to represent warmth and comfort, perhaps a gift from his mother. Recently Father lead us to a derelict building in Hat Yai where we found a young girl and her two day old baby. She had nothing and I do mean nothing, not even hope just her little baby that she clung to. A girl with a baby outside wedlock is rejected out here, they are cast away from their families. There is a lot to this but I will explain a another time. We took the girl and baby to the refuge centre.

On the way we stopped and bought some baby clothes and all that one would need for a new born baby. As we put the little fluffy bootees on the new little feet I remembered the fluffy jumper worn by a killer. How different on this occasion, the little woollen clothes kept the baby warm to survive the chill. I wish you could have been there and seen the joy and gratitude of that young girl. She and her baby had only days left to live and she loved her child so much. You knew she had hopes, dreams and ambitions for her little hero but the reality was very bleak. She could have left her child in a bin and she could have gone back to her family. Things are different now, she knows we are not going to abuse her and she is smiling. If she and many others could, they would thank you personally for making it possible that they at least have a chance in life. We will get them on their feet and we will protect them. I know there is little satisfaction in writing cheques, one would rather hand someone a plate of food or fill a bag or two of baby clothes or buy them a good pair of shoes. Rejoice that this work is getting done on your behalf.

I know our work is Bibles and rightly so but I can't walk past someone in such need and I believe you would do the same. Surprisingly there is very little satisfaction on these occasions as there is so many more out there. For every Bible we give, hundreds more are needed and for everyone saved, there are a multitude needing to be reached. I rejoice only in my salvation and I keep hungry for mission. The directorship have agreed that we must extend the refuge centre, Colin and Ivor are prophetically moved on this so if you want to be involved give them a call. We need to raise thirty thousand pounds for another twenty rooms with cooking and washing facility, Colin has the plans drawn up and we are all set to go and we have been given the land. I am hoping someone will cover the cost as we do not want take from money given for Bibles.

Last month I was taking Bibles to four little churches in Laos. I had little problem, apart from getting lost a dozen times, until I got to the last church situated near the Vietnam border. I knew something was not right as I got closer, I could hear screeching coming from the little humble building that was their church. I was horrified to find the church full of pigs. I could find no Christians, none of my friends.

The man who had the pigs would not talk to me, except to say that if I did not leave straight away he would call the police. It turns out that the authorities had closed the Church and given it to the man who had the pigs. I was asked not to be angry with the pig man as he was very unhappy about things but had no option but to obey the instructions he was given, or he would be led off with the Christians. The authorities had acted this way because the Church was becoming a threat to them by winning so many people for Christ. About a hundred and fifty have disappeared, I can't find out what has happened to then.

I felt so low as I left this time, in the past I would leave with joy and singing in my ears. The perpetual spiritual pogo stick was at it again, up and down. I found myself asking why does God allow these things. I know the answer and I know the truth but it still hurts at times. People sometimes say to me that if God is with you all will go well, but it's not true. The truth is that if we are serving Him everything is thrown against us to prevent us in our service to the King. Father wants all men to be saved but they won't be. 1 Tim: 2-4. I left that church and went straight back to one that I had left earlier. I told them what I had found and they sent two young boys to investigate and the rest of them prayed. When I was driving away I put some music on, it was the sixth track (mended by you) of the Sugerbabes Album, Changes. I know it's not Christian but the lyrics are exactly what I wanted to say to Father. That empty feeling that I had when I left my son at Oxford Crown Court when he went to prison. I would have done anything to have been able to stay with him. In the same way, I wanted to be with my friends from that church and share in their suffering.

In the last twelve months we have done many missions, I truly can't remember them all but they do include two missions to Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan and many in South East Asia. We will have a full list of our missions at the AGM. Soon I will have completed three years on this mission and I will have to return to the UK to ask my sponsor to continue his support for a further two years. Please pray that he agrees without me having to go back and see him. Although the thought of sleeping in my own bed is very appealing, out here I sleep with a fan on all night as it is so hot. The fan goes twang ever so often and the twanging is embedded in my head and is giving me a nervous twitch. If I tried to sleep without it I would melt and turn to gas by morning. Soon we have a mission to a prison in a closed country, if we get in it will be a miracle, we expect miracles so we are going for it. Mike wants us to go back to Mongolia with Bibles, don't have the date yet.

We could really do with a motorhome out here. This is not an appeal, as I have never seen one out here and to import one would be to expensive with 500 % import duty, besides the roads are so bad it would die in a week. We do a lot of travelling as the countries we are working in are much larger than England. Quite often we can be driving for days, even a week at a time. I have a satnav but it's useless, the first thing it says to me when I turn it on is (you are off the planned route, do a u turn), when I do a u turn it says the same thing, great at going round in circles. Me and technology don't fit very well, I have no chance working out new mobile phones. The phone I use is an old nokia 3210, it's like an antique but I can see the screen and feel the buttons.

Imagine countries larger than the UK where many of the population want a Bible and you can imagine how much work we have to do. Thank you for making it possible and thank you for being along side. God Bless you and yours.

VIOLENT CRIME - SOWING AND REAPING

There is a Biblical principle that we reap what we sow. It applies to nations as well as to individuals. What politicians sow, the people reap. When politicians sow evil, the people reap misery, and the poorest reap it the worst.

The Divorce Reform Act 1969 and the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 introduced divorce on demand and no-fault settlements. The ease with which Parliament said marriages could break up sowed the idea that the promises made in marriage did not matter. The people have reaped a covenant-breaking mentality in which being divorced against your will or any kind of justice is taken for granted and the sum of human misery is increased.

Around that time, the state began to encourage teenagers to have sex with the only moral message being to use a condom. That resulted in profits to manufacturers and an explosion of teenage pregnancy. Now we have the disaster of teenage infertility. Every government initiative, including the HPV vaccine, will increase it, but as all the targets revolve around pregnancy, no-one in power cares about those young people they have made sterile.

An increase in the size of the state meant heavier taxation, and big business wanted a feminised, non-unionised work-force. So mothers were driven out of the home into paid employment. That bit of sowing increased the pressure on families and the poorest reaped it the hardest.

Taken together, these anti-Christian measures mean around half of children are now growing up without their father. Parliament has just said fathers aren't even needed in families. How is a mother on her own supposed to restrain an adolescent son? How is she supposed to know what her teenage children are doing between the end of the school day and the time she gets home from work? Is it any wonder we are reaping massive disaffection among the young, showing itself in drunkenness, drug-taking, illicit sex and lawlessness?

And with the abolition of the death penalty in 1965 and the Abortion Act 1967, Parliament removed the death penalty from the guilty, by the state, where it belongs, and imposed it on the innocent within the family, where it does not. With those two measures, our politicians sowed the belief that innocent human life, made in the image of God, had no value.

We are now reaping a shocking callousness and brutality in society of which the growing trend of violent deaths of teenagers is the starkest evidence. And it is among the most disadvantaged sections of society that these deaths are having the greatest impact.

No doubt the parliamentary reformers of the sixties were carried away with secularist motives, determined to destroy the family and overturn the hated Christian morality, but did none of them stop to think, or care, that ordinary people, those they were supposed to represent, would be the hardest hit when society broke down?

The prophet Isaiah pronounced woe on those who call good 'evil' and evil 'good'. And woe on today's politicians, who are so in love with their own importance they cannot humble themselves and seek the Lord. Rather than reject the sixties secularist paradigm, they stumble around trying to put sticking-plaster on burst arteries. March offenders around hospital wards, have metal detectors in clubs and continue to embrace evil, with the mayor, the police and armed forces parading at the head of London's annual display of immorality.

If God has mercy on us, He will remove from office those intent on evil, and replace them with men after His own heart. If not, we shall continue to descend into a mutual hell-on-earth of the politicians' making. A nation which has just legislated that Christ may be blasphemed is not one which can expect to enjoy His blessing. So our message to those in power is the same as it was in the days of the prophets, and the same as in the days when God incarnate walked this earth as the Lord Jesus Christ: Everything you try in opposition to God will fail. Repent, turn to Christ, stop doing evil, start doing good.

Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. (Micah 2:1)

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, (Matt 6:33)

ENGLAND

I think this really sums it all up.

After hearing that many cities did not want to offend other cultures by putting up Xmas lights, so DIDN'T!

After hearing that the Birmingham council changed its opinion and let a Muslim woman have her picture on her driver's licence with her face covered.

After hearing of a Primary School in Birmingham where a boy was told that for PE they could wear Football League shirts (Aston Villa,Birmingham, West Brom etc) but NOT an England shirt as it could offend others !

This prompted the editorial below written by a UK citizen.
Published in a British tabloid newspaper.

IMMIGRANTS. NOT BRITONS, MUST ADAPT.

Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on London , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Brits.

However, the dust from the attacks has barely settled and the 'politically correct' crowd begin complaining about the possibility that our patriotism is offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Britain . However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.

This idea of London being a multicultural centre for community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Britons, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of wars, struggles, trials and victories fought by the untold masses of men and women who laid down their lives and one of the millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language! 'In God We Trust' is our National Motto.

This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools.

If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. If St.George's cross offends you, or you don't like ' A Fair Go', then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet.

We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this.

But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our National Motto, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great British freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.

We didn't force you to come here.  If you don't like it GO HOME!!

You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted. Pretty easy really, when you think about it.

No matter how many times you receive it... please forward it to all you know.

(Life to the Full Church reminds the reader that we Christians now have an opportunity to love and witness to all these people from other countries, from our doorstep)

SICKNESS AND SHOWING GOD'S LOVE.

Doug Nichols went to India to be a missionary, but while he was just starting to study the language he became infected with tuberculosis and had to be put in a sanitarium.  It was not a very good place to be. It was not very clean and conditions were difficult because there were so many sick people there.  But Doug decided to do the best he could in that situation. So he took a bunch of Christian books and tracts and tried to share the gospel with the other patients in the sanitarium.

But when he tried to pass out tracts, no one wanted them.  He tried to hand out books, but no one would take them. He tried to talk with them, but he was handicapped because of his inability to communicate in their language, and he felt so discouraged.  There he was. Because of his illness he would be there a long time.  But it seemed like the work that he had been sent to do would not be done because no one would listen to him.

Because of his tuberculosis, every night at about 2 o'clock he would wake up with chronic coughing that wouldn't quit. Then one night when he awoke he noticed across the aisle an old man trying to get out of bed. He said the man would roll himself up into a little ball and teeter back and forth trying to get up the momentum to get up and stand on his feet. But he just couldn't do it. He was too weak.  Finally, after several attempts the old man laid back and wept.

The next morning Doug understood why the man was weeping. He was trying to get up to go to the bathroom and didn't have enough strength to do that.  So his bed was a mess and there was a smell in the air.  The other patients made fun of the old man. The nurses came to clean up his bed and they weren't kind to him, either. In fact, one of them even slapped him in the face. Doug said that the old man just laid there and cried.

Doug said, "That next night about 2 o'clock I started coughing again. I looked across the way and there was the old man trying to get out of bed once more. I really didn't want to do it, but somehow I managed to get up and I walked across the aisle and I helped the old man stand up."  But he was too weak to walk.

Doug said, "I took him in my arms and carried him like a baby. He was so light that it wasn't a difficult task. I took him into the bathroom, which was nothing more than a dirty hole in the floor, and I stood behind him and cradled him in my arms as he took care of himself.  Then I carried him back to his bed and laid him down. As I turned to leave he reached up and grabbed my face and pulled me close and kissed me on the cheek and said what I think was `Thank you.'"

Doug said, "The next morning there were patients waiting when I awoke and they asked if they could read some of the books and tracts that I had brought. Others had questions about the God I worshiped and His only begotten Son who came into the world to die for their sins."  In the next few weeks Doug Nichols gave out all the literature that he had brought, and many of the doctors and nurses and patients in that sanitarium came to know Jesus Christ, too.

He said, "Now what did I do? I didn't preach a sermon. I couldn't even communicate in their language. I didn't have a great lesson to teach them. I didn't have wonderful things to offer. All I did was take an old man to the bathroom and anyone can do that."

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." (1 John 4:7-8)

What can you do to express the love of God to people around you today?

Have a great day!

Common Ground with Islam?

During this week 3rd to 7th November 2008, 48 Muslim and Catholic theologians are meeting in Rome in order to discuss a document elaborated last year by 138 senior Muslim scholars. The document, A Common Word Between Us and You, proclaims itself to be an attempt to find common ground between the two religions in order to bring peace to the world.

The thesis of A Common Word is essentially that Christians should come to agreement with Muslims that love of God and love of neighbour are the most important aspects of the two faiths and therefore instead of fighting one another, they should seek to outdo each other with good deeds.

Whilst at face value the treatise appears laudable, in actual fact it denies the most important aspects of Christianity and its mission. It is based on a verse from the Qur’an, namely sura 3:64, which denies the identity of our God, the divinity, Sonship and Lordship of Christ and defines us as in rebellion against the Muslim god if we reject these doctrines.

More worryingly still, previous Muslim invitations to ‘come to a common word’ or to ‘come to common terms’ have in fact constituted an invitation to accept Islam as the true religion, or at least to acknowledge Muhammad as the final prophet and therefore to endorse his writings and authority, which comes to the same thing. In 2007, four Christian scholars from Yale University wrote a Christian response to A Common Word that failed to see its pitfalls and 300 well-known leaders have already signed it.

The document wrongly assumes that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. This is of fundamental importance, because how can two groups of people agree that love of God is the most important thing if it is not the same God that they are to love? The Muslim god is said to have ‘no partners’—that is, he is said to be a unity and not a Trinity. And herein lies the rub: to acknowledge the Lordship or Sonship of Jesus Christ is to say that He is God, or a ‘partner’ (in Muslim eyes) with God. This is blasphemy to Muslims and so the text invites Christians to agree that God has ‘no partner’.

Another problem with this attempt to bridge the gap is that it is written with a Muslim mindset of rules, duties and good works, rather than the Christian understanding of salvation and grace. The document therefore urges that common ground should be built on the duties of loving God and neighbour and good works, which takes the heart out of the Gospel entirely. The text claims that no-one, including Jesus Christ, has said ‘anything better’ than the two greatest commandments. John 3:16 clearly says far more than that, for it declares ‘not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins’ (1 John 4:10). No common ground can be found at the centre of the two religions; only on a superficial level can there be any such agreement.

Likewise, the Islamic worldview with which the text was written presupposes that the Qur’an is a valid, authoritative source and that Muhammad was an authentic prophet. Even the definitions of the ‘peace’ which is sought and the ‘neighbour’ who is to be loved contrast with the Biblical ones or even the Western ones with which we are familiar. Surely the issue is in the interpretation of the detail here and any agreement reached would have to be very carefully drafted to avoid disputes of interpretation!

A Common Word is also disingenuous in suggesting that love of neighbour is a tenet of Islam. Such dissimulation is allowed by the Islamic doctrine of takiyya whenever the reputation of Islam is at stake. Not a single Qur’anic verse has been found that supports love of neighbour. In actual fact Islam teaches love of other Muslims and conversion of, or hostility towards non-Muslims.

Whilst it is important to love and live in peace with Muslims and to respect their religion, it is not usually from the Christian side that violence emanates.

In the light of this counterfeit basis for dialogue between the faiths, it is suggested that those Christian leaders who have signed Loving God and Neighbour Together: a Christian Response to ‘A Common Word between Us and You’ should consider withdrawing their signatures. This is not without cost, however. Revoking one’s signature to a peaceable and accepting response to A Common Word is a rejection of the invitation to convert to Islam. This is a rejection of the most peaceable offer of conversion in our generation. It is also a refusal to submit to Islam and it gives Muslims everywhere a Qur’anic ground to perpetrate Jihad against those who do so. Those who are brave enough should count the cost.

Furthermore we recommend reading “the truth about the common word at http://www.pilcrowpress.com/response.php So far it is the most comprehensive Christian response to the common word proposal.

Subject: Disgraceful decision

Dear Jenny.
This is an appalling story of how Edinburgh Social Services preferred to place two small children with a pair of homosexuals rather than allow their grandparents to look after them.  God's Holy Word in the bible says that homosexuality is a sin. Now God loves these homosexuals, and Jesus can set them free from their homosexuality if they repent and turn and surrender to God. As a Christian I have God's love for homosexual people, the gospel teaches us to love. But how dare anybody take children away from their loving caring family. The children's Grandparents wanted to look after their own grandchildren. If they had even needed help from the government to do this, home help etc, then it ought to have been given. This is what we all pay our taxes for. How would you have liked to have been taken away from your family at such a young age, and placed with homosexuals to raise you as their own.

I ask you LibDem Council Leader Jenny Dawe to justify this disgraceful decision:
I realize that the Government has overthrown God's Commandments that this country was founded on, all fulfilling Bible prophecy. Jesus said that in the end times, "wickedness would increase".

But you and I don't have to go along with wickedness, we can stand for rightousness, and perhaps you may be able to prayerfully work to rectify such a dreadful dicision concerning this little 5 year old boy and 4 year old girl.

Imagine their little faces when they are reunited with their Grandparents, their family. Some things are worth fighting for, not violently, but by mouth, through reoson, and standing up for the little children who nobody wants to listen to. They want to be with their family. I can do little but pray and write a letter. What can you do ?

PLEASE PRAY: For these children, a little boy of 5 and his sister, aged 4.  She is said to mistrust men, and there were heterosexual couples available to adopt.  Pray the Lord will protect them.  We don't know their names of course - 'child protection policy' Pray that godly people in power will find a way to over turn the decision. Ask Jesus to help you do God's Will.
Yours faithfully
In the Love of Jesus

The Uncomfortable Definition of an Infidel

Allah or the Lord Jesus Christ?

The Muslim religion is by far the fastest growing religion in the UK.

Last month I attended my annual session that’s required for maintaining my prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who each, in turn explained each of their beliefs.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.

The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video

After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:-

‘Please, correct me if I’m wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad (Holy war) against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven.

If that’s the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?’

There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation he replied,

‘Non-believers!’

I responded, ‘So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?.

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of ‘a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.’

He sheepishly replied, ‘Yes.’

I then stated, well, I have a real problem trying to imagine Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!’

The Imam was speechless!.

I continued, ‘I also have a problem with being your ‘friend’ when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me!

Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?’

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam remained speechless.

Needless to say, the organizers and promoters of the ‘Diversification’ training seminar were not happy with this way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslims’ beliefs.

Within twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the UK to elect a government of their choice, complete sharia law. I think everyone in the UK should be required to read this, but with the Liberal justice system, liberal media and the political correctness madness, there is no way this will be widely publicised.

Please pass this on to all your e-mail contacts.

IS YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL A FRIEND OF ALMIGHTY GOD. THIS ONE WASN'T.
Primary school receptionist 'facing sack' after daughter talks about Jesus to classmate
The Daily Telegraph reports today that a primary school receptionist, Jennie Cain, whose five-year-old daughter was told off for talking about Jesus in class is being investigated for professional misconduct after seeking support from her church.

Her daughter Jasmine had been overheard by a teacher discussing heaven and God with a friend and had been taken to one side and told off.

Mrs Cain contacted 10 close friends from her church by email but the message came to the attention of Gary Read, the headmaster of Landscore Primary School, Crediton, Devon, where she works as a receptionist.

The 38-year-old mother of two is now being investigated for professional misconduct for allegedly making claims against the school and its staff.

Mrs Cain has been told she may be disciplined and was warned she could face dismissal.

Mrs Cain, who has worked part-time at the school for two and a half years, describes herself as a "quiet Christian" who would never force her beliefs on others.

But she said she was angry about the way she had been treated: "I felt embarrassed that a private prayer email was read by the school – it felt like someone had gone through my personal prayer diary.

"I feel my beliefs are so central to who I am, are such a part of my children's life.

"I do feel our beliefs haven't been respected and I don't feel I have been treated fairly. I don't know what I am supposed to have done wrong."

On January 22, Mrs Cain went to pick up her children from Landscore Primary School

"My daughter burst into tears, her face was all red and she was clearly upset.

"She said 'my teacher told me I couldn't talk about Jesus' – I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"She said she was taken aside in the classroom and told she couldn't say that. I was so shocked, I didn't know what to do."

Mrs Cain said she decided to wait until she wasn't working to discuss the issue with the teacher Sharon Gottelier as a parent rather than an employee.

But she was called into Mr Read's office the next day over another matter before he started discussing Jasmine.

"He started talking about my daughter about how he wasn't happy about her making statements about her faith.

"At that point I froze, I felt very small and I felt trapped as I was a junior member of staff."

That weekend, she emailed a prayer request from her personal computer at home to 10 trusted friends from her church.

"I asked them to please pray for us, please pray for Jasmine, please pray for the school and pray for the church."

A few days later she was called back into Mr Read's office.

"I didn't think at this point I could be more stunned. He had in his hand a copy of my private, personal email and it was highlighted all the way through.

"He said that he was going to investigate me for professional misconduct because I had been making allegations about the school and staff to members of the public."

"He said the investigation could be followed by disciplinary action up to and including dismissal because of this private email."

Mr Read said: "An investigation by the governors of the school is being held into the conduct of a member of staff and at this stage I cannot comment any further."

Her case is being supported by the Christian Institute who said Mrs Cain was the latest example of a Christian being persecuted by society.

The Christian Institute’s Mike Judge said: “I thought I had heard it all when I learned a nurse had been suspended for offering to pray for a patient.

“But now a five-year-old girl and her mother have been slammed for nothing more than expressing their Christian faith.

“I am particularly concerned about the way in which Mrs Cain’s private email to her church friends ended up in the hands of the head teacher.

“This is the latest in a series of cases where Christians are being persecuted for their religious beliefs. It is really getting to a point where it has to stop.”

Life to the full Church has no way of varifying the below story, if you have any evidence then please let me have it.

A Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife because she was reading the Bible and then buried her with their infant baby and an 8-year old daughter.

The girls were buried alive! He then reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids. 15 days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand - ALIVE!

The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed at the end of July.

The older girl was asked how she had survived and she says:- 'A man wearing shiny white clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister,' she said. She was interviewed on Egyptian national TV, by a veiled Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, 'This was none other than Jesus, because nobody else does things like this!'

Muslims believe Isa (Jesus) would do this, but the wounds m ean He really was crucified, and it's clear also that He is alive! But, it's also clear that the child could not make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could have survived without a true miracle.

Muslim leaders are going to have a hard time to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of the Passion movie doesn't help! With Egypt at the centre of the media and education in the Middle East , you can be sure this story will spread. Christ is still controlling and turning the world. Please let this story be shared.

The Lord says, 'I will bless the person who puts his trust in me.    (Jeremiah 17)

New Anglican body launches to stand against liberal theology.

Evangelical and Anglo-Catholic groups opposed to liberal developments within the Church have created the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans.

Thousands of Anglicans, unhappy with the Church of England's position on the blessing of same-sex unions, the ordination of women and homosexuals as priests, gathered in London today to support the launch.

The group claims it is not looking to break up the church but simply voice an opinion, but critics say the move will undermine the church and the authority of the archbishop of Canterbury.

Speaking to Premier is Revd Dr. Graham Kings, Bishop of Sherborne, who is concerned over the impact of this launch. He said:

“I hope very much that it doesn’t cause a split. The difficulty is positions could be laid out now so that in the future, if they think a split is necessary, they can easily do that. Unity in the Church of England is crucial.

“If this is just another voluntary agency then there’s no problem. The danger is that it moves from being a voluntary agency to being a Church within a Church and then a third move to being a split and setting up as a Church”.

The launch of the FOCA mirrors that of the US Episcopal Church. Traditionalist Americans left the Episcopal Church after the ordination of the openly gay Rt Rev Gene Robinson and split into a small separate Church.

The breakaway US church has now joined with the fellowship, which was set up by conservative Anglican bishops and leaders in Jerusalem in the wake of the ordination of an openly gay bishop in New Hampshire.

The group says it promotes a traditionalist reading of the Bible which does not support active homosexuality. But their views have faced heavy criticism. On of the main supporters of FOCA, Dr Nazir-Ali told the Sunday Telegraph:

"We want to uphold the traditional teaching of the Bible. We believe that God has revealed his purpose about how we are made.

"People who depart from this don't share the same faith. They are acting in a way that is not normative according to what God has revealed in the Bible.

"The Bible's teaching shows that marriage is between a man and a woman. That is the way to express our sexual nature.

"We welcome homosexuals, we don't want to exclude people, but we want them to repent and be changed."

Revd. John Richardson supports the Fellowship and hopes it can help Anglicans across the world:

“Part of the appeal of FOCA is to be more aware of Christians facing real difficulties on the front line in areas like the Sudan where they are under pressure form not only poverty and war but from Islamic militants.

I don’t think the Anglican Communion has always stepped up to the plate to support people in those sorts of situations.”

Christian Anti-Semitism Today!

Who is the greatest threat to Israel?
When we think about the enemies of Israel and the threat that exists of another major war against Israel, Islam is always in the forefront of our minds. Today a ceasefire is in place between HAMAS and Israel, yet Kassam rockets are being fired daily from Gaza into Southern Israeli communities which have been established on land that has, until now been undisputed.

Increasingly more sophisticated rockets are fired by Muslim fundamentalists based in Gaza under the oversight of HAMAS, which is a universally recognized terrorist group governing the region. HAMAS have said, and still maintain the position, that they will not end violence against Israel until every Jew has been forced into the sea and all Israel becomes an Islamic state. There are many other terrorist groups that hold similar aspirations such as Hizbullah and Al-Qaeda.

However aggressive these fundamentalists are I must ask the question, in light of historical and current information, who is the greatest threat to Israel? Before I progress I want to clarify that, when I go on to refer to "Christendom", I am referring to Christianity as a religious system accepted and authorized by the State. I am not referring to Bible-believing Christians who follow the governance of God rather than the governance of the state and the accepted religious traditions and social practices of their nation. Christendom does, however, include many mainstream church organizations and, of course, it's leaders.

As a student of Christian anti-semitism I can write much about the early church Fathers, efforts to destroy the Jewish roots of Christianity. I can spout the wrongs of the removal from Christianity of God's Appointed Feasts and Festivals in favor of pagan Feasts and Festivals, the motive for which was anti-semitism. I can speak about the early Christian Apostles who taught and practiced "Torah" (regulations given by God in the first five books of the Bible) and were murdered or beaten for doing so, just as was the Apostle Paul.

The constant referencing to Palestine and not Israel by Christian Scholars has over centuries, established in the minds of ordinary people an end to the state of Israel. The Crusades and the Inquisitions, the blood libels and forced conversions all took place under the umbrella of Christianity but the most horrific fact is that, without Christianity, the Holocaust could not have taken place.

So what about Christendom now?  Since 1948 and the establishment of Israel, those Christian theologians who once taught that God had finished with the Jews and Israel and that the church has replaced them, are now faced with the fact that He obviously hasn't.

Christendom in the 21st century is neither able to use violence as she has throughout history, nor to advocate violence. It is not accepted practice to repeat some of the pre-second World War rantings of European church leaders who, at the end of the 19th century published in papers such as the Vatican Daily Osservatore Romano, which reported, "Antisemitism ought to be the natural, sober, thoughtful Christian reaction against Jewish predominance." The article continued, "True antisemitism is and can be in substance nothing other than Christianity, completed and perfected in Catholicism."

I ask the question however, what is the acceptable practice of Christian Anti-Semitism today? Many in Christendom today are using charity and good works to re-enforce in the minds of many Muslim fundamentalists that Islam has the right and even a duty to take land from the Jewish people and establish a homeland for themselves. They are referring to land, which the Jewish people by right, by International law and by religion are entitled to possess.

"Christian" organizations such as Sabeel and Christian Aid speak openly in favor of a Palestinian homeland and use terms such as an "oppressive Israel regime" and "Israeli Occupation"; Church denominations such as the church in Wales, the Anglican Communion, Methodists and Presbyterians have all spoken of divestment of Israel and support the Palestinian cause to create another state within the confines of the land of Israel. These and many other  church organizations, such as the Vineyard, are encouraging governments to negotiate with terrorists to bring about a two state solution, and they do so in the name of peace. They have eagerly moved away from the term anti-semitism and now use the term anti-Zionism. What is the difference? By using the former you can be called a racist and prosecuted but the term anti-Zionism is not perceived in the same way and although it means the same it is, in this current Political climate, "acceptable".

Many Christian organizations seem to ignore the plight of Jewish communities who are the target of air strikes every day. Many thousands of pounds are collected monthly by some church groups in order to send aid to a Palestinian Arab people who, in reality, would be far better off living under an Israeli social system instead of the system they have today, which has been proved to be corrupt by aid and finance going directly to their leaders instead of it being given to ordinary families. What message does all this give to the terrorists who are bombing and launching air strikes against Gods chosen people?

For the last two years Bloomsbury Baptist Church London has hosted a Christmas carol service by the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign who wrongly and unjustly slam Israel and her efforts to defend herself. This year St. James Church Piccadilly also hosted the PSC. PSC changed the words of christmas carol's to insult Israel and these two Churches readily gave PSC a platform for such blatant anti-semitism. Despite Christians for Zion members writing over sixty letters to Bloomsbury Baptist Church these two large well-known churches representing Christendom today simply collaborated with the PSC to abuse a nation that God calls the Apple of His Eye.

In the town in which I live an anti-Israel play was performed at our local theater. I led some other Christians for Zion supporters as we stood at the door to the theater and gave out leaflets, not criticizing anyone but stating facts. Many local church leaders and Christian groups attended the play and were obviously opposed to our stance. We found it difficult that many who teach from their pulpits that we are always to seek truth actually ignored the truths in our message. Sir, Winston Churchill said "Men occasionally stumble over truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened."  This seems to be what many who hear the message about God's plans for Israel actually do today.

Christians supporting Palestinians and a Palestinian state say that they are acting in the name of humanitarianism. If humanitarianism was a real issue then their criticism would be against HAMAS who have only one goal and that is the murder of every Jew in Israel. There would be at least some recognition that the plight of ordinary Palestinians is caused by their own terrorist leaders. There would also be some discussion about the plight of the Jewish communities who are trying to live in peace on undisputed territory near Gaza.

The opposite is the case however; one Quaker leader told me that HAMAS was a good charitable organization in need of full support and that Israel was the aggressor. What was her motive for such a statement when we hear James Lindsay, former legal counsel for UNRWA, who issued a report recently, which included the following; "No justification exists for millions of dollars in humanitarian aid going to those who can afford to pay for UNRWA services. In addition, UNRWA should make the following operational changes: halt its one-sided political statements and limit itself to comments on humanitarian issues; take additional steps to ensure the agency is not employing or providing benefits to terrorists and criminals; and allow the UN Educational, Scientific and
Cultural Organization (UNESCO), or some other neutral entity, to provide balanced and discrimination-free textbooks for UNRWA schools".

You won't see this report published by Christian Aid or expounded by Stephen Sizer the Anglican vicar heading up Sabeel here in the UK. He wont report the facts that UNRWA is funded by the U.S. (31%) and the European Union (nearly 50%) -- only 7% of the funds come from Muslim sources and that huge amounts of this aid from both Government and Christian sources are diverted into the pockets of terrorists. These Christian anti-Israel organizations won't publish that UNWRA has been stopping aid going into Gaza recently because HAMAS is stealing it. However they still collect monies from Christian congregations and send it to Palestinian organizations who do not keep account of it's final destination and are known to use it to manipulate ordinary Palestinian Arabs to hate Jews.

Three years ago I attended a meeting at which a church in Wales Canon was speaking about the situation in Israel. There were a number of clergy present, none of whom knew me. I listened to lie after lie encouraging the audience to sympathize with Islam and the Palestinian people, and to see Israel as an aggressive regime, hell bent on persecuting the Palestinian people. At the end of the presentation there was a time for questions. At the conclusion of a stream of pro-Palestinian questions, I asked some pertinent questions which showed that the speaker was aware that he was not telling the truth about the actual matters he was referring to. The meeting was immediately stopped and worried clergy, thinking I was a journalist surrounded me in an effort to find out what the purpose of my attendance was.

On another occasion I was asked by a large Christian organization, the Iona community, to speak at their Annual conference. They had been given information that I was a regular visitor to Israel and, as the theme of their conference was Israel, they thought I might have something to say. The first three speakers presented their anti-Israel rhetoric and then I stood to speak. When I began to outline my presentation the meeting became hostile and after a short time the conference organizer stopped my presentation and apologized that they didn't know they had invited a "Christian Zionist" to speak.

I don't believe it is the case that Christendom has changed its spots and put 1700 years of anti-semitism behind it. If it were true that Christendom has changed then churches and Christian organizations all over the world would be uniting to condemn the terrorists who are trying to take land by violent means. They would be doing all they could to support the Word of God through the prophets and supporting the legal right for Israel to live in peace.

Christendom remains the largest faith organization in the world with 2.1 billion Christians, the next largest being Islam with 1.5 billion. The Christian West has authority and power over some issues concerning Israel and certainly the ear of many of the Worlds Governments, including the U.S. and the U.K. and yet Europe and the USA are bowing to a call by Islamic countries for a two state solution, which in effect is giving in to terror. Is this again Christendom expressing through various governments and Fundamental Islam her old prejudices?

Replacement theology and succesionism teaches that the church has replaced Israel. The Jewish people, having established a Nation in Israel as a Biblical and legal homeland, opposes the churches teaching at all levels. Therefore, if Christendom continues to support a Palestinian State and curse Israel, we can only conclude that the motive is the same as it always has been, and that is to destroy the right of Jewish people to live in Israel and persecute them as the underdogs, in order to support the argument that God has left and forsaken them. This time however Christendom appears to be using Islamic terror to do it's dirty work.

I can only conclude that Fundamental Islam is another weapon in the armory of Christendom that for nearly two thousand years has attempted to destroy the Jewish nation and their right to a homeland.

The book of Zechariah tells us that the nations who punish Israel beyond the punishment allotted by God will be destroyed. Joel tells us that God will judge the nations that divide Israel. I am a Bible-believing Christian who on the face of it, may seem to many of you anti-Christian, in truth I have such a fear that the offense we cause God will bring us into the most severe and dreadful judgment and I want Christians from all around the world to unite and Bless what God is doing rather than curse His work.

During the years preceding, and during the entire period of the Holocaust, the majority of Christians in Europe remained silent and became bystanders as the worst atrocities in history took place. We cannot afford to stand by in our churches and allow Israel to be ignored, abused or opposed by a twisted or misinterpreted theology. We cannot stand by whilst ministers in Christian churches or Christian organizations encourage and fund a concerted effort to destroy Israel and those who support her.

Please be brave enough to speak out and activate your beliefs because today we make our history. Unless we change our position, Christendom will continue to be seen as the world's greatest threat to Israel.

CHRISTMAS STORIES from the Holy Bible are true. But the worlds celebration of Christmas is mainly of pagan origin.

THE HISTORY OF CHRISTMAS. Please read Stan Earle's comments at the end of this article.

Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. No one knows the exact date of Christ's birth, but most Christians observe Christmas on December 25. On this day, many go to church, where they take part in special religious services. During the Christmas season, they also exchange gifts and decorate their homes with holly, mistletoe, and Christmas trees. The word Christmas comes from Cristes maesse, an early English phrase that means Mass of Christ.
The story of Christmas comes chiefly from the Gospels of Saint Luke and Saint Matthew in the New Testament. According to Luke, an angel appeared to shepherds outside the town of Bethlehem and told them of Jesus's birth. Matthew tells how the wise men, called Magi, followed a bright star that led them to Jesus.
The first mention of Christmas
The first mention of December 25 as the birth date of Jesus occurred in A.D. 336 in an early Roman calendar. The celebration of this day as Jesus's birth date was probably influenced by pagan (unchristian) festivals held at that time. The ancient Romans held year-end celebrations to honor Saturn, their harvest god; and Mithras, the god of light. Various peoples in northern Europe held festivals in mid-December to celebrate the end of the harvest season. As part of all these celebrations, the people prepared special foods, decorated their homes with greenery, and joined in singing and gift giving. These customs gradually became part of the Christmas celebration.
In the late 300's, Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire. By 1100, Christmas had become the most important religious festival in Europe, and Saint Nicholas was a symbol of gift giving in many European countries. During the 1400's and 1500's, many artists painted scenes of the Nativity, the birth of Jesus. The popularity of Christmas grew until the Reformation, a religious movement of the 1500's. This movement gave birth to Protestantism. During the Reformation, many Christians began to consider Christmas a pagan celebration because it included nonreligious customs. During the 1600's, because of these feelings, Christmas was outlawed in England and in parts of the English colonies in America. The old customs of feasting and decorating, however, soon reappeared and blended with the more Christian aspects of the celebration.
Gift giving
The custom of giving gifts to relatives and friends on a special day in winter probably began in ancient Rome and northern Europe. In these regions, people gave each other small presents as part of their year-end celebrations. Other customs
In the 1800's, two more Christmas customs became popular--decorating Christmas trees and sending Christmas cards to relatives and friends. Many well-known Christmas carols, including ``Silent Night" and ``Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," were composed during this period. In the United States and other countries, Santa Claus replaced Saint Nicholas as the symbol of gift giving.
The celebration of Christmas became increasingly important to many kinds of businesses during the 1900's. Today, companies manufacture Christmas ornaments, lights, and other decorations throughout the year. Other firms grow Christmas trees, holly, and mistletoe. Many stores and other businesses hire extra workers during the Christmas season to handle the increase in sales.
The word Xmas is sometimes used instead of Christmas. This tradition began in the early Christian church. In Greek, X is the first letter of Christ's name. It was frequently used as a holy symbol.

Stan Earle was sent this above information by his 11 year old daughter who already loves Jesus thank the Lord. She wanted to put it on her Face Book. Stan said "No don't do that as the most important thing is to reach the unsaved, those still on the road to hell and judgment and the lake of fire. People need to hear the plain word of God about their sin and Jesus dying to pay their death penalty and Him rising from the dead. People need to hear the Gospel of salvation so that they hear a clear message to respond to God in repentance and faith in Jesus. New believers need encouragement to read God's word every day, to serve in a Bible believing Church, to forgive and love their enemies, to preach or share the word of God with the world as they learn to walk with and after Christ in Holiness. So the above info about the true history about Christmas and its pagan roots is best brought forth to more mature Christians on a page like this, on this Christian Web site. Now as for me and my family we still celebrate Christmas day as we celebrate every and each day in the Lord. Jesus came from Heaven, Jesus was born, Jesus healed the sick and raised the dead, Jesus died for all our sins, Jesus rose from the dead physically on the third day, Jesus was seen by over 500 people risen from the dead, Jesus commissioned His disciples to go preach the Gospel that there is forgiveness of sins only in His name. "John 3 vs 3. You must be born again". Jesus ascended back to heaven and we await Jesus return. The rapture of the Church and the Physical return of Jesus with all His Church in the second coming to Israel to deliver the Jews and to set up His millennial and everlasting Kingdom. The Great White Throne Judgment where the unjust will be cast into the lake of fire for eternal punishment. Its important to stick to the word of God that can save, general history must take 2nd place.

Christmas is a great time to talk about the truest meaning of every day including Christmas day and that's Jesus is the Lord and only savior. Use this Christmas time not to go around telling the unsaved about the superficial pagan roots of Christmas. Tell them who made the Day and every day. Do I still wish people a Happy Christmas. I sure do. As for me and my Family Christmas is all about Jesus just like any other day. Christmas is a great opportunity for families to come to gether. Presents are nice all year around, but who can afford that, so Christmas is a nice time to give a gift and to share the love of God. Its a day to stick to what's important as in any other day. To share the Gospel of Salvation with the lost and to encourage believers.

The global village.
As you know Mu hammed Ali is a Muslim of sorts. The Christian organizations who join him will almost defiantly stop preaching the gospel to the poor starving people. They will give food clothing and medical supplies but withhold the gospel of salvation so not to offend Mohammed and the other Islamic members of the global village.

The world is being set up for the new world order the new world government and the new ecumenical world religion where the gospel of Jesus will be outlawed as an offence. Its been happening slowly for years and we are closer now to the return of Jesus than ever. Remember before the rapture and the return of the Lord Jesus there will be the short reign of The Anti Christ the one world leader who will start off cool and loved by the world but soon turn on the Jews and Christians and put many to death. The Anti Christ will be killed by the glory and the brightness of Jesus coming. Praise the Lord we know how it all ends because its all in the Bible, but always remember
Jesus came to cause division not oneness with other religions because they are the teachings of demons and their false teachings are taking billions to hell.

Us Christians are to remember the poor, to give and help but most importantly we are to preach the gospel of salvation that a person can believe upon Jesus as their crucified and risen savior. Jesus preached repentance from sin and unbelief and to turn to the one true living God, the God of Israel.  Jesus is the Lord God and the only saviour of the world and the one and only way to the Father in Heaven. If we work alongside other religions in helping to feed the poor the Christian will not give them Jesus the living bread. The Gospel of Jesus. If he did the other people of other religions would soon fight with us Christians because we would be saying what they believe is wrong.
God wants us to work within the body of Christ in feeding the poor and preaching the gospel and not to join with other religions.
Satan himself shows himself as an angel of light and Satan's workers come as workers of righteousness. Its what God's Book warns us about, and many of the churches are falling for it. It will lead to the falling away ( apostasy) where many Christians will fall away from the faith worldwide before the worldwide rapture takes place.
Us Christians need to remain sober minded, Christ centered, and preach the gospel in season and out of season, watching and longing, watching for our Jesus to come for us. The time is short. Jesus is at the door. The hour is near. We want to be, we need to be found doing God's will as revealed in the holy Scriptures. God's  book. We are commissioned to preach to the world that there is forgiveness of sins in Jesus name and only in Jesus name. John 3 vs 1-7 Jesus said no-one can see or enter the kingdom of God unless they are born again, this is deadly serious. Everyone else will spend eternity in the lake of fire, eternal punishment for their sins. God loves people and wants everyone saved, this is why Jesus came to bring division, so that the saved stand out and work together in proclaiming the Gospel and the full council of God.  Jesus is risen and He will return soon. Come Lord Jesus come.

There is much more to say on this subject, but at this time its all I have been given by the true Holy Spirit of the living God.

Paul I do thank you for your email to me to tell me what is happening, because of it, the Lord has given us insight and I am on fire.

Love to all.

Love in Jesus

Stan

Remind them that God is almighty, and that it is His Will for all people to be saved and to come to know the truth. God has caused the books in the Bible to exist and come to together in one book of 66 individual books. All books outside the books in the Bible are unreliable. Jesus Said there would be false teachings, Apostle Paul spoke of false letters, there are many warnings in the Holy Bible warning people to remain within the teachings of sound doctrine found only in the Holy Bible.

False teachers were around throughout the entire history of mankind from Adam. Some of those false teachers were able to write, its as simple as that. A thousand or so years later, and someone unearths their false teachings and they start shouting. Hey this disagrees with the Bible, and they wrongly think they now have proof that the Bible is unreliable.

Explain these things to your friends please and I am sure they will see the light and simply believe in God's Wonderful promises.

Remember there are people who will use these false teachers as their excuse to why they will not repent and turn to God.

Our prayers make a difference. God answers.
