Yes that's right. Jesus was God who became flesh. The Bible reveals the reason why God became flesh, and it wasn't to just give us a more enjoyable and more fulfilled life. It was to save us from our sins that have separated us all from God. The Bible reveals that after death we each face Judgment before God. We are Judged by what we have done in the body. The Bible reveals that we have all to a lesser or greater degree broken God's Laws.
This is called sin. Romans 3 vs 23 all have sinned.  Heaven is a sinless place, so God does not let sinners in, they must in His righteousness be punished according to the Law. The Punishment for sin is death. By God's Grace we who are still alive need to repent from living our own sinful way, and ask Jesus to forgive all our sins. Then we are to confess Jesus is our Lord. This is Jesus rightful place. Jesus is the second person of the God head. Remember me saying that God's Judgment on sin is death. Well that's why Jesus came to die. Jesus sinless life given for all us sinners. We deserve death. Jesus died in our place. Jesus paid the ultimate price for your sins. His death. The Bible reveals fulfilling all the prophecies, Jesus arose from the dead on the third day, over 500 people saw Him risen, His disciples ate with Him,. Before Jesus death His disciples all fled in fear of being killed, once Jesus had risen, those same disciples gave their lives in the preaching of the Gospel to all nations. Why ? Answer. Jesus commanded them too go make disciples. Matthew 28. Luke 23 and Luke 24.

The reason was because God loves mankind and wants to see mankind saved. SAVED FROM WHAT ? Answer. The eternal consequences of their sins. Meaning a shameful Judgment and then eternal punishment in the lake of Fire. Some say. I thought God was Good ? Answer. God is. He is getting me to write this love letter from Him to you. Presenting the only way of Salvation. God is Good. Jesus paid the price for all your sins on the cross. Now that's Love. Our Lord God wants me to tell you that His complete message is found only in the Holy Bible. Our Lord wants me to tell you that when Budda was born, it was God who gave him life from his mother. During Budda's life his quest for enlightenment was never fulfilled. Once the Law of God had been given to Israel, only then was man able to begin to recognize his sin against God. This is real enlightenment. Then only by realizing that the Law was Good and Holy and that it was impossible to keep the Law though ones life, then mankind was further enlightened. And only by God's Word and God's revelation to man would he or she be even further enlightened to know that we are credited Righteousness in God's sight only by faith in Him, ultimately Jesus Christ. All decent relationships begin with TRUST.  God is the one who reveals truth. We are to trust in Him.
Now that's enlightenment.  Praise be to God for saving a wretch like me.

May the Lord God be with you all and teach you the way of Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 3 vs 3 that no-one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again. This means a brand new spiritual Life in Christ. You die to the Law of Moses and become a new creation. This happens only by God's grace. Father God draws you to Jesus granting you repentance. God's Holy Spirit convicts you of your sins and grants you an opportunity to repent, then you ask Jesus for forgiveness, and give up your whole life to Him. Jesus then comes into your life as your Lord and Savoir. You are born again of the Spirit of God. We are saved by the Grace of God through our faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood at Calvery.
It is possible to resist God's perfect Will for you to be saved, and to reject Jesus, thus unnecessarily spending eternity in the lake of fire for all your sins.
