Why do many Christians disbelieve the biblical account of Creation ? Answer. apostasy the falling away from the truth. Once Christians interpret Scripture using Eisegesis methods they begin to reinterpret the plan meaning of Scripture, for instance they include millions or billions of years between day one and day six of Creation.
Why do some Christians believe in evolution ? Answer. They don't really believe the bible's authority.

How can they say they are Christians ? Many are not. Others have just been led astray by apostate liberal leaders.

A) How important is it to believe in a literal six days ? It's fundamental. Evolution teaches that death came before sin. Genesis chapter 1. Genesis chapter 2. and Genesis chapter 3. Teaches us that death came after mans sin. Who are we going to believe. Evolutionists who weren't there at the beginning. Evolutionists who believe everything came out of nothing. Evolutionists who's roots reject the existence of God.
I for one, believe God's account as written in the bible. God was there in the beginning. Everything in creation came from Him, by His eternal Word Jesus.

B) When interpreting the bible, all bible students should be taught to use a method of Exegesis. This is to believe in the plain meaning of Scripture, wherever the word of God is plain and not symbolic. Every reader knows deep down. The Exegesis of Genesis chapter 1. Genesis chapter 2. Genesis chapter 3. Allows only one interpretation. Six 24 hour days and that death came after mans sin. Biblically anything else is heresy.

C) Belief in God is most reasonable, even for those who don't know Him, due to the complexity of His vast Creation.
As the bible says in Psalm 14 vs 1-3 warnings are to all who will hear. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. Billions of dead things buried in the ground in all the different layers has a simple explanation, and it has nothing to do with millions or billions of years. The bible teaches us who would hear. 2 Peter 3 vs 3-6 Scoffers are willingly ignorant of the flood. When we read Genesis 6. Genesis 7. Genesis 8. and Genesis 9. We understand that the worldwide flood covered the whole earth for just over one year. Billions of dead things were buried at this time around 4400 years ago. This has given the appearance of a very old earth
